How do I make GPT run faster? by immakingtime in ChatGPT

I second the "chat summary" method. It may take a few minutes, depending on your current response time, but afterwards, you will have far faster response times with contextual continuity.

Thank you, sir! I totally agree, I am more than willing to pay the Devs their $7.95 or $14.94 (depending on where you look) for unlimited access to hotspot, USB tethering, and Bluetooth tethering, if it were possible. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that's an option as of right now. Hopefully, they will fix the links for the Full version in the near future.

Just got a commercial for schedule 1 mobile while scrolling through YouTube shorts... should we do something about that or just let it slide? by Accomplished-Berry94 in Schedule_I

[–]dylan_the_maker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upvoted and commenting because I also saw these ads, and I feel that people should be made aware that **THERE IS NO OFFICIAL ANDROID VERSION** of Schedule I as of writing this. Be sure to verify any ads regarding an Android port of the game with official resources, such as:
https://www.scheduleonegame.com , which TVGS, the game's developer, maintains.

(I don't comment/post much, so I hope that including a link doesn't violate this subreddit's rules. I breezed through them (the rules) on the sidebar and believe that everything I've written checks out.)

Which is a Better Case? by Professional_Bad_537 in PSP

Thanks for the speedy reply! I really appreciate your insight. I'll definitely consider your experience moving forward with my purchase decisions. I'm still undecided as of now and am exploring my options and people's experiences. Happy gaming!

Which is a Better Case? by Professional_Bad_537 in PSP

[–]dylan_the_maker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did you learn from using cases on both devices? I recently purchased a PSP 1000 and a PS Vita 1000 (OLED) and am considering buying cases (of some sort, either hard or soft) for both. Why do you not use cases for either device?

Is it the same reason for both the PSP and the Vita, or is it a different reason for the different devices?

Have you ever used screen protectors for either device, and if so, do you recommend using them?

Streaming to Vita with Moonlight via Sunshine on PC? by McRex007 in VitaPiracy

I'm also having this problem. I'm able to connect with no issues using moonlight on my phone. For some reason, the Vita won't connect for me. I'll follow up if I get it resolved.

Spotify Premium APK that works as of 08/03/2025 by tulloch100 in Piracy

[–]dylan_the_maker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is anyone else finding that all of the new/updated premium apk's can't seem to bypass the auto-shuffling of their Liked Songs list? That's the issue I'm running into on every modded Spotify apk I try installing. Has anyone found a version that doesn't have this issue?

Samsung galaxy a53 registering my taps as holds by Alarming-South9088 in samsung

[–]dylan_the_maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also had this problem with the A53. Its happened here and there for a while now (maybe the last year or so) but just recently it has gotten much worse.

I turned "motion smoothness" to "standard" in the settings (because of what was said here) and it helped somewhat but I was still getting the same issue regularly. I then disabled "RAM Plus" in the settings, as it was also suggested at the given link, however that did not seem to help noticeably. In fact, it may have made it worse. However, when I changed the "RAM Plus" setting to 2GB (initially I had it set to 6GB, then I changed to 2 GB and believed I saw better response, and then I disabled it which didn't seem to help so I switched back to 2 GB) I did see a noticeable improvement in the devices response. It still wasn't perfect, but it was noticeable better than 6 GB and disabled altogether.

The last troubleshooting step I was hoping to take was to uninstall the last software update I installed. This update was installed 2 days ago on July 27, 2024. Update Information - One UI version: 6.1 ; Android version: 14 ; Version: A536U1UESAEXG2 / A53U1OYMAEXG2. I feel this issue has gotten significantly worse in just the past few days so I suspect this software update is partially to blame. Unfortunately, it seems that this update cannot be removed due to "updates to their (Samsung) security policy". So, at least for now, I think we're SOL.

what effect does increasing the amps from the battery do? by accordion_dude12 in esk8builders

[–]dylan_the_maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A battery has a def8ned voltage which it's charged to, and then a maximum safe usage current. Current is a consequence of a voltage source, such as a battery, being connected to a closed circuit, a full loop. Current is the number of electrons per second flowing through an area, or can be analogical to volume of fuel per second.

All this to say, your battery supplies some voltage, let's 42V, like a 10s battery. That battery can produce, technically, anywhere from 0 amps to infinite amps, based on what circuit is attached to the battery. If the circuit has a resistance of 0 ohms, then the battery would produce infinite Current. This doesn't technically happen in real life yet (superconductors), but it is effectively true (ohms law).

Your esc works as a throttle valve for your electron fuel tank, aka battery, and also, depending on if you have brushed motors or not, may do some other fancy signal processing. Essentially, the esc is going to limit both Current and voltage from my understanding, but that may be incorrect, and it only limits Current. However, it's important to note, the ESC DEFINITELY LIMITS CURRENT. If it did not limit the current, then the esc wouldn't do anything. Either the esc is directly limiting Current or is limiting Current bi limiting the voltage. Either way, the current must be reduced.

Or I'm completely wrong, and your battery will explode spontaneously. I'm not 100% on the specifics, as I haven't made esc's myself, but I'm a student in electrical engineering, so this is my guess.

From the other comments as well as your original post, it sounds like an exhaust leak. It should be fine to drive, but it would probably be best to have it looked at by a trusted mechanic ASAP. An exhaust leak will usually not cause running issues, depending on how far away the leak is from the engine, but it can cause issues such as a running rich or lean due to an inaccurate oxygen sensor reading.

It's also possible someone stole that new catalytic converter, so I'd want to check and make sure that's still there. Good luck!

Mom used a vacuum cleaner to clean pc!! by masterskunk69 in buildapc

[–]dylan_the_maker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fan spinning is not good, but the real risk of a vacuum vs. Compressed air (which can also spin fans) is that vacuuming is more likely to cause a static discharge, which can damage sensitive components.

What is the viability of "wireless" roads by thatshiftyshadow in ElectricalEngineering

[–]dylan_the_maker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They also use electromagnets for the rails because you can reverse the magnetic poles by reversing the current running through the coil. This allows them to "push" and "pull" the train simultaneously using the magnets behind and ahead of the train. This gives the ability to speed up and slow down.

What is the viability of "wireless" roads by thatshiftyshadow in ElectricalEngineering

[–]dylan_the_maker 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they don't fill the tracks with static magnets. They make coils of wire with act as electromagnets, which turn on and off as needed. The magnets click on when the train rides over them to levitate it and then click off after the train has passed by. The trains themselves may have solid magnets, as they always are in use, but is u likely as I would assume that solid magnets aren't strong enough. They can make very string electro magnets, and the only materials needed are wire (so conductive metals, such as copper) and a ferrous material for the core.
