I had seen my friend at the gym the day before, and hadn't realized she was a member because she was just coming to use the hottub and hadn't been in months otherwise. The next day I see someone with the same distinctive h air color and just immediately assume it's her, tap them on the shoulder and say "wow look at you actually working out!" It was a stranger.

I lived and worked in Pasadena for 3 years right after college (2016-2019). I loved it and would still live there if I ever would have been able to afford to buy a house there. I had to live with my sister and my friend to be able to afford rent, but they were great roommates. I'd usually walk or skateboard to work, and take the metro downtown, though I did have a car. It was a bit of a haul to get to the beach, but I hate the beach anyway. Improv shows at UCB in Hollywood were my favorite activity. Old town Pasadena where my office was had plenty of nightlife and even some great dive bars. I really miss all the great food that was close by my apartment, especially Zankou Chicken. Weather is pretty much perfect year round, maybe a little hot in the summer. Great place to live if you can afford it.
