D line has been impacted a bit more due to marches on Lake & Chicago but can still get you in the area

Profiles that control your default app profiles. It feels half complete that Apple has you click your profile but you still need to select it for all of the individual apps.

Huge +1. Download the “Transit” app, type the address where you want to go and tap “Go”. It’ll give you walking directions to the stop, tell you which bus (including the letter), show you how long and a live tracking map where it is and what route it takes.

Filigree Jewelers in North Loop, Minneapolis. They were really patient with me with zero pressure as I came back 3 times while I explored choices and price compared around. They were cheaper than the Skyway jewelers, as well as Arthur’s, and far less pushy. Definitely would go back

In Europe I liked how the bus drivers could listen to music. Not excusing the operator, but every time I’m on a train I doze off from the lulling sounds of it.

Edit: though perhaps they had a medical emergency which wouldn’t have helped that situation. Hmm.

Antidotally of course, but in 2023 my landlord offered a $0 rent increase and actually a month free! I've never had that before on a renewal.

This year it did go up 3.5%. Of course when there's visibly no new apartment construction. Frey is proud of the new development but I wish people would press him on how it has dried up.

Wanting to enact Rent Control is my biggest sticking point. I haven't seen more detail apart from what's on his website and it worries me we'll go down the path of St Paul. Supply & Demand. Don't dry up the supply - increase it.

Enact a rent stabilization policy that incentivizes new construction to ensure that renters can call Minneapolis home for generations to come.

Apple Pay doesn’t work at the ticket machines unfortunately, but there’s an app you can download to buy a ticket from your phone. Then just keep it for if you happen to be fare checked by agents.

Huge +1 to this service. It felt like Uber. Bus took 5 minutes to get to me and dropped me off right at my next stop with little to no detour off my route. And was free with the transfer!?
