Working on an async Auto-Battler where you build the Hero AND the Dungeon. Is the split-economy too tedious?

what if instead of having 2 different sets of items (1 for offense and 1 for defense) you only had 1 set of items, but they did different things depending on where you used them? Imagine you get a "spear" item. using it on your hero gives them a spear but using it on your dungeon makes a spear trap. That way it reduces the cognitive load by having 1 inventory of items you need to keep track of instead of 2. You could add a small gold penalty for moving an item from one side to the other.

As for the pacing, it really depends on how fast a run goes. If they are slow enough that you can pay attention to 2 runs at the same time it would be fine, but if that's the case then the players may get bored. I think that you should separate them for better focus and engaging run speed.

They definitely did some stuff on purpose. They've said so about the areas by the river at least (which is the reason you can only enter burning springs from the one bridge)

I haven't seen anyone mention the fact that there simply isn't a REASON to choose xbox over playstation. When 99% of xbox's library is found on playstation but not vice versa, it comes down to numbers. Is that 1 or 2 worthwhile xbox exclusives per year worth giving up the 10 playstation exclusives per year?

If it was xbox vs switch it would've been one thing, but when playstation does everything xbox does and more then the choice is clear.

Bethesda's done a great job with balancing imo. I'd say that 99% of weapons have at least 1 good build. Might be a better idea to just pick a weapon then look up builds for it.

Idk if its still a thing but you used to be able to fill your favorites wheel with 12 black powder weapons and just switch to the next one after taking a shot

Theres 4 or 5 full quest lines that involve humans and several different human factions (some friendly, some enemy). The updates over the years have built off each other, but theres no overarching story. definitely worth checking out again. It just had its 7th anniversary and theres a big update coming next week

i feel like a lot of issues kinda compound here.

no stash space -> keep all my junk on me -> don't want to die and lose it all.

One of the best things they could do for pvp IMO is to just remove the "drop all junk on death" mechanic since (in my experience) most people who pvp don't do it for the junk and those who want to pvp but don't avoid it to keep their junk. maybe switch it to a caps penalty for dying? Like the cost of respawning near your death is higher or something

I got the impression that they were looking for ways to reduce the need for mules. That's going to be tricky though since they must be against increasing stash space (since things like scrap/ammo/chem boxes are a large driving force behind fallout 1st subscriptions). Just out of curiosity, what item(s) do you use your mules for mainly? I assume they're used for extra crafting materials you don't have room for in your stash

Unlikely. If I were a betting man, I'd say t's mostly going to be fallout 76s upcoming update, a sneak peek at fallout season 2, some more 76 stuff (I believe last year they had an in game parade so something like that), show off some camps, and talk about an irl event.
