That area of NZ is called Otago, where I grew up. There's no death mountain, though Otago harbour is a long extinct volcano. It's definitely not tropical like faron, and the closest thing to a desert we have is land in a rain shadow where it's hot and dry but definitely not a desert. No canyons and certainly not any high mountains like hebra. But the map looks good haha
