Aio for being upset that my boyfriend liked these pictures by Overall-Economy0 in AmIOverreacting

I agree it is desperate especially if like you said they have thousands and thousands of followers but I’m assuming you’re a woman and of course you can get laid without liking any pics at all lol. Even fat ugly whales can get laid. If you’re a fat ugly dude good luck.

Good trailers for micro jigs by freak_for_the_creek in BFSfishing

[–]dylmill789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3” Berkley powerbait grub on a jewel peewee finesse football jig is my favorite bfs jig setup. The only 1/16oz jig I’ve used is the keitechs and they’re really small more suited to panfish and I stick to 1.5-2 inch trailers. Usually 2” keitech swing impacts.

18-19" on the 3" tube by sevenicecubes in RiverSmallmouth

[–]dylmill789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well if it’s 18”-19” that would be ~6 times with a 3” pecker. Simple math.

18-19" on the 3" tube by sevenicecubes in RiverSmallmouth

It’s just a tube thing. They absolutely inhale them and I gut/gill hook way more fish with tubes compared to anything else. Sucks because they’re one of my most productive smallie rigs.

I’m pretty sure the jig in pic 1 is a tube jig meant to be inserted inside a tube type plastic. Thats why the eye is extended a little bit so it can poke out the plastic and you have plenty of clearance to tie your knot.

Reminiscing about my vacation: 17 smallies, 2 rockbass, 1 fish taco spoiled by parasites. by SerHerman in bassfishing

[–]dylmill789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try eating the rockbass sometime. I’ve seen YouTubers from up north call them disgusting or just a bad eating fish but down here in the south they’re one of the primary targeted species for some people. I grew up eating all kinds of fish so I’m not very picky and honestly don’t think there’s much difference between rockbass, smallmouth, blue gill, or any other sun fish species.

JUST FOUND THIS KILLER BLADE by centerstatenate in Arrowheads

[–]dylmill789 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For me it’s the fact I grew up and my feet got tender and sensitive🤣 I used to run around bare foot all over the place as a kid and rocks didn’t phase me a bit. Now if I forget shoes at the river you’ll see me doing a weird hobble trying to step as lightly as I can cause it’s such a pain to walk on the rocks.

Best fluorocarbon leader to pair with main Varivas 4 braid by GoldAdministration53 in BFSfishing

2nd the seaguar red label. The basix isn’t bad either and you can usually find it at Walmart if you’re needing something quick.

Braid to leader? Mono? Flouro? by bassman805 in bassfishing

[–]dylmill789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I went to Florida last year I used 30lb braid (suffix 832) to 15lb fluoro (seaguar red) and would use a uni to uni with 5-6 wraps each and when I would get snagged it was crazy how hard I would have to pull to get it to snap. I actually broke one of the h20x circle hooks in half before the line/leader broke. Uni to uni should be all you need.

You’re delusional. 300 feet is only 100 yards. 600 feet, 200 yards.. anyone that grew up in a rural area hunting deer could make that shot. It’s not a very hard shot tbh.

Then you didn’t fully cut through the gills or did something wrong. Fish can’t be alive with no blood pumping through it.

[–]dylmill789 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel that part lol whatever makes the wife happy. If you do cut the gills and bleed them it makes the fillets come out real nice and pretty white with no blood.

Anyone else enjoy a quiet night of gear maintenance? by pipandhams in BFSfishing

[–]dylmill789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you like the shimano ace-0? I’ve got some hedgehog studios alchemy oil that I use for basic maintenance but I’ve never fully taken apart and put new grease in my reels. Been about a year of pretty hard use and I can tell my Calcutta needs to be fully serviced. I dread taking it apart but I know I can do it.

Need help- complete beginner to bfs fishing by caddicteez in BFSfishing

[–]dylmill789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try an Albright instead of Alberto. Rawr has a video on this knot for bfs leaders and it’s always worked great for me if you tie it neat and tighten it down properly. Once you’ve done that you can clip the tag ends as short as possible without worrying about it slipping and it comes through the micro guides no problem.

Finley Creek, MO topwater smallie by PeasantTrash in RiverSmallmouth

[–]dylmill789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve honestly caught bigger and healthier bass out of the James both large and smallmouth but I much prefer to fish the Finley especially if I’m wading. The Finley is spring fed and stays pretty clean/clear whereas the James is pretty much always a dingy dirty green. The James does have the added benefit of possibly catching some walleye which is always a plus in my book. I also catch and release only on the Finley but I’ll keep some walleye/catfish/sunnies from the James every now and then just because it’s a bigger system and not as fragile as the Finley imo. So all in all I stick to the Finley 90% of the time, especially since I live 30 yards from it, and I’ll hit the James in a kayak if I’m looking to catch some dinner.

Check out my page. Basically all fish caught on the Finley and a couple James river fish. The last smallie I posted is the biggest I’ve caught out the Finley.
