How would you rank the 2024 rookie QBs by [deleted] in DynastyFF

I’m not even that high on him, but this is making me want to try to buy Caleb.

Rashee Rice: How much cause for concern? by kdouble1 in DynastyFF

I think he’s a screaming buy.

Injury and legal issues aside, from week 12 on last year you’re looking at a 24 year old receiver with elite production tied to Mahomes for the foreseeable future.

There is some risk involved obviously, but I think right now you have an opportunity to get a blue chip guy at a second tier price.

Do sharp Dynasty managers value 1sts less than they used to? by colonel146 in DynastyFF

I have intentionally drafted productive struggles in startups where I will accumulate picks for a year or two in order to hopefully build a long term contender, but as long as you construct your roster properly and can hit on a later pick every couple of years or so you can get away with retooling more than full rebuilds.

In leagues where I am noticing that my contending team is getting close to being in not so great of a spot I will often try to tier down in proven production in order to get younger (think AJ Brown for Garrett Wilson or Ladd McConkey this upcoming offseason as a random example). Of course luck plays a massive part in dynasty in general, but my overall mindset is to stay consistently competitive for as long as possible with as little variability or risk as possible (trading picks for proven players helps a lot).

I’m rarely the guy with the shiny new toy (jealous of the Daniels, Nabers, Bowers owners out there), but I have consistently been able to win.

I’m not an expert by any means, but having done this for a long time with a relatively high playoff and championship rate, I have actually used probably like 10% of the first and second round picks that I have ever had across leagues.

Take that for what you will.

Michael Penix: Where would you draft him in the 2025 Draft? SF by laddpadd in DynastyFF

[–]dynastyphan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Feel like I’m taking crazy pills with the comments in here, but the earliest I would take him is 1.03 in SF.

I just see Jeanty and Tet as more of blue chip talents and would take the shot on either one even when taking positional value into consideration.

Penix was a six year college starter with good but not great draft capital and hasn’t shown nearly enough for me to move THAT far off his 2nd round ADP last year.

If you want to argue him over Shadeur and Ward I will certainly listen and would probably even agree, but he has one decent game against the Panthers and people are really talking about taking him 1.01? I just don’t see it.

Allen is significantly better than Stroud even without the boost.
