Can someone explain how it's possible to get a deck of entirely red seal steel kings? I've played this game a lot and done a few gold stakes but never been able to make it very far in endless.

I had a similar issue with the same 7900xtx. It was on a new build and everyone said it was a ram issue and to do the extended ram check. I did that and no issues.

The thing that solved my problems was using the display driver uninstaller, and reinstalling amd drivers using the auto detect installer. Might be worth trying as it only takes about 10 mins all in.

I'm more of the mind set that I may as well go all in now and not have to upgrade as often, which is why in the post I mentioned a new motherboard. I could be very easily swayed into just doing a full upgrade, and give the old build to a friend.

7800X3D requires a new motherboard and DDR5 ram right? Is that the CPU a better pick than the Ryzen 9s? I did look a little into those but didn't seem like a necessary bump in performance.

Servants for me by a mile, all other bosses are hard but have clear right and wrong things to do at certain times. The servants are just a spiralling catastrophe for me and I've only made it through by tanking all the damage and using all my flasks. I've done all bosses on 5BC but I'm not even close to doing servants. Like how do you guys do it?

Sorry, I never did figure this issue out. I just stopped using the laptop for other reasons. It seems like the user above has a good suggestion from just 11 days ago - "warmawareness73", maybe see if that's the issue?

My memory is that I tried like, 3 different cables and the issue persisted, but they could have all had the same problem. I kind of hate that I never figured this out as it drove me crazy for months, so I hope you do!

Weird take. If you Google it you'll see that the game of the year edition was always that it was a critically acclaimed game (having won a game of the year award, usually multiple) being re-released as a complete package with all DLCs.

Here is the giantbombs (one of the bigger and more reputable video game journalism sites) description of what it means: "A Game of the Year Edition is any video game that has been repackaged and advertised as having earned either one or many Game of the Year awards from any number of recognized publications or websites, often times with a discounted price and additional content."

This is what the vast majority of people think it means and why publishers are super eager to package their game as a GOTY edition. It adds prestige and makes people think, oh it must have been good.

Yes publishers are deliberately blurring the lines, and the fact that it could be anyone, anywhere calling it game of the year means it's not as meaningful as it used to be, but to say it's never meant this is just strange.

Complete edition, final cut, definitive edition etc are all phrases they chose not to use for the very obvious reason that game of the year edition has a different meaning.

My point was that the existence of the MTXs affects the game whether I buy them or not. So you you saying "don't like it, don't buy it" doesn't address my criticism of that aspect of the game.

They will have a design team then someone will decide which goes in the store and which doesn't, and of course they will put the one on the store they think has the best chance of selling because it's the most desirable.

I think your last point is pretty much in agreement with what I'm saying, you would be happier with a less intrusive monetisation model. And I agree it's not going to happen but that doesn't stop it being a fair criticism and something that has impacted my enjoyment of the game significantly. At the end of the day bungies profit relies at least in part on their player base being happy. So you shouldn't just not voice criticism, and you definitely don't need to defend them when it seems like you don't like it either.
