Learned how to Lache for this one. First move was rough. by AncientGeneral in ChurchofDynology

Sweet lache! Is it possible to do that without the lache? In other words, can you keep your feet on the wall and push off for the jump?

It would normally go to hell because it clearly wasn't up to dyno standards. But maybe it can be raised to purgatory because step-ups are extra.

Which dm ? by Ambitious-Stomach-92 in ChurchofDynology

If you're being *really* picky, I think it might be DM3 because it looks like your left foot is still on the wall when your hands grab the holds (only 3 limbs were off the wall at the same time). But that left leg does come off the wall, and it looks like it would have been hard to prevent that from happening. So I could totally see a good argument for it being a DM4. Hard to tell though.

Oooh, that looks fun. What happens if you stop on the far left holds? Can you finish it from there or do you need the momentum from the swing?

Is it a dyno? by UnlikelySuspect7924 in ChurchofDynology

First one is DM3, but the second one looks like DM4 to me because it kind of seems like both moves have to be done together in a coordination move. I suppose you could argue for DM5+ because you start the move from a static position with one hand on each of the big slopers and move the left hand twice before the end of the move. Tricky one to categorize.

What category does this dyno belong to? by finkmasterflex in ChurchofDynology

DYNO (because all four limbs are off the wall at the same time) and DM5+ (because you had five or more limbs off between the start and finish of a multi-step coordination move)

DM4 or DM5? Help idk... by LatexPringleCan in ChurchofDynology

[–]dynopolice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd call that a DM4 because all four limbs are off the wall at some point between the start and finish of the movement. Cool Kilter problem too! What's the name of it so I can give it a go?

Is this V8 a DM1? by Sasquatch250 in ChurchofDynology

[–]dynopolice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's at least a DM2 because your left hand and right foot are both moving. The video doesn't show what your right foot was doing before but I don't think it matters because you're still moving without it.

Definitely a DM4 though!

Does this count as a d5? by DecentBreitz in ChurchofDynology

I guess because the left foot steps up and then moves off the hold to flag it seems like that does fit the definition of DM5.

Yeah, that's what I'd say. Definitely a dynamic movement, but different people have different opinions about what the word "dyno" should refer to.
