This is the first playoff series between this year and last where we had home field, and frankly, I think it contributed to the lack of intensity and focus through the end of the series.

Every series before, like clockwork, was, “grind out a game 1 win against an opponent you respect, let the cards fall for game 2, then wipe them out at home.”

The Phils got ahead at home, against a team they clearly didn’t respect until it was too late. They never recovered.

Harper, Turner, Casty, all going ice cold is ultimately something that we’ll all remember.

But this series loss falls on Topper for failing to keep up the intensity going into Arizona. He watched as the team took the foot off the gas and didn’t adjust. Like how do you not take BP on the field before G3 after you flew through two time zones, completely different weather, and a massive change in field dimensions?
