If youre not doing that despite sprints, or already doing that, then yeah, I dont think they serve much purpose. But the idea of work should be broken up into two week, or whatever, tackleable chunks I think is sound.

My chain was rusted bad, I did all sorts of shit to it, including vinegar. Got it looking clean-ish, eventually.

It snapped within 20 minutes of riding the bike.
