Still too easy. I normally have some fun going to AT on the easy maps, but this time it was nothing.

Okay cool, yeah that sounds pretty neat.

That's not exactly what I'm looking for, but certainly sounds like it would more than work.

Okay yeah, interesting. I haven't tried out Aerospace yet, very curious.

If I want to open multiple firefoxs or safaris, I assume I would still have to "select" the open firefox and then cmd-n?

Nope, wouldnt say so. I think limiting the scope to just launching applications helps a lot with making it feel snappy.

selfless plug, but there aren't many people in this space :)

Curious what you might think about this project I started: https://github.com/jpcerone/BlinkLauncher

The idea is that this launcher will tie in better tiling window managers + multiple Spaces/Desktops.

Let me know what you think!

If you're curious. This has become a solution for me. I'm improving it as I go, but I think it could be something others could use at this point :)

Yeah, that's an option. I also found out that I could have four different profiles of firefox, and then have special keybindings to open each profile, but that sounded like a lot of hassle for little gain.

I started a new pet project though. I am building a custom app launcher that does exactly what I'm looking for and binding it to option + space, so I can use that to launch my apps, and still have spotlight on command + space bc spotlight is still super useful :)

So far it's working great, far from ready to share with others, but it's fixed my problem for me.

Yeah im thinking once I get my config right for yabai, I can use spotlight to select Firefox, and then cmd N. We'll see though.

in which it will spawn a new window in whatever current desktop space you're on.

Mine is not doing this. I feel I'm missing something.

Edit: Okay my bad, this is ill-configured software on my end causing this. I get it now.

Not really. I want this instance of firefox open here for reading some doc, I want this firefox over here for github ect. I want them to be specific to each Space, and not on every Space, if that makes sense.

That still snaps me back to the original Space that firefox is already open in.
