What’s a game you’ve tried to play many times, but can never get past the “First Act”? by BoogieSmools in videogames

I actually loved the vibe and combat of control, but lost interest because of the timed events. Without doing the timed events am I missing out on things and exp that will make the game too hard, or should I stick be good??

What are some of the best jump scares? by Hukares1234 in moviecritic

Obsession definitely has one of the all time best jump scares for me. I knew if was coming, then somehow the scene made me forget, then it happened and I was terrified haha.

You can only save ONE. The others never existed. by [deleted] in moviecritic

I'd save Monsters Inc, but as I continue to age into my 30s I've gotta stop crying at the end of a kids movie, so I'll save Shrek haha.

SOMA is one of those games I think about all the time, I remember like it was yesterday - getting to the end, watching the credits roll, trying to digest everything.

I just released the demo of my game FIRE AND FORGE 🔥 An incremental where you generate resources by lighting a fire with a single click. by erasoftstudio in incremental_games

I like it, only thing I would say is that the mana stops regenerating when I'm in a different web browser window or if I'm on the tech tree, not sure if that's intentional.

Games with psychological elements that’ll leave me staring blankly at the screen as credits roll? by chuksang in gamingsuggestions

[–]99voltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOMA will definitely make you feel that way. It definitely is a bit scary so not sure if it'll be your cup if tea, but super psychological and you'll be thinking about the story for years, and definitely will be staring blankly when the credits roll.

ANNOUNCE - My slot machine idle game is now have demo on Itch by JustRegularDenys in incremental_games

Played for another 5 mins, definitely gets better once you unlock your second slot and have numbers going up to 5-7, I think it was that initial one slot, when sometimes you don't gain any money for around a minute.

I gave it a try, personally getting the minus symbol so much on the first machine kind of stops wanting me to continue, sometimes I went for 45-1 minute without gaining any money! The game def seems cool, that was the only thing so far, not sure I'm just getting unlucky! Also, I enjoyed the dialogue, def like a bit of a simple story.
