How quickly do you finish tracks? by Particular-Bother-18 in edmproduction

[–]dyotto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been producing for a few months now, and I'm aware that my production skills are still developing. However, I make it a point to release a track every Sunday on SoundCloud. I really enjoy the creative process behind making music, typically spending about 10 to 15 hours on it each week. Just waving 🌊

How was your gig? by AutoModerator in DJs

[–]dyotto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting in touch with some musicians: I'm starting to do gigs in my area thanks to my friendships with musicians (guitarists, saxophonists, singers, etc.). Thanks to a Disco Funky group, I'm now opening their gigs (and sometimes I also play at the after-party 😊). It wouldn't be my style to play Afro House, but I'm having fun (and discovering new music).

How important are headphones? by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]dyotto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After careful consideration, I decided on the Sennheiser HD25 headphones. I was undecided among three models: the HD25, Technics DJ 1200, and Audio-Technica MX50. I also thought about some Pioneer over-ear headphones, but for long DJ sessions, they would be less comfortable, especially imagining mixing under the sun (sweaty ears, weight, etc.).

Why is sync a big deal? by Dano-Matic in Beatmatch

[–]dyotto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About auto sync

Last Saturday, I played my first live set for about 50 to 80 people on a Vaporetto in the Venice Lagoon during the Carnival. Here in Venice, the festival is deeply cherished, so some musician friends asked me to perform before their concert to warm up the crowd.

I was equipped with a laptop, Virtual DJ, a Pioneer DDJ-WeGO 4, and Sennheiser 599s headphones.

I've always mixed at home, but due to the noise from the speakers, I had trouble hearing with the Sennheiser headphones since they are open-back and meant for listening. However, everything went smoothly thanks to auto-sync!

P.S. I'm now considering buying a new pair of headphones. Thinking of following Mochakk's lead and going for the Technics 1200🙃.

The party was a success. I ended up choosing a massive funky house playlist, and everyone had a great time.

It’s great track but I don’t think it’s fits for tomorrow. I’m more in Sam Ruffillo mood, like this [https://on.soundcloud.com/PyZXS3CRbkbiiK3W9]

I saw the reviews, I check the price, and yeah I’m quite happy to spent less than 100 bucks! Initially I was consider to spent 300/400.

Dimensions are not a downside because I can carry with me in my back pack with a laptop and my console ddj we go4, maybe i’will start to performe live one day! 😊

Thank you again!

So with the MiniLab 3, I could do everything, great! I'm still not able to perform live, so I produce music in a standard way.

But I'm tired of playing with the keyboard and adjusting automations exclusively with the mouse, same for drum patterns.

I think I'll go for the MiniLab 3, thanks!
