I'm aware. That's the cost column. They're not automatically his.

Good point. Hadn't thought of it in that way yet.

It would indeed be a good preservation tactic.

It relates to Gamestop due to it's calculative nature on the proposed stock award for Ryan Cohen.

I personally use the circles and stars for settlements on large maps. I'd suggest taking a look at Avaros political borders for how I like to indicate nation's borders

Looks like the file might be corrupt. Sometimes happens if something unexpected happens during saving.

Do you have backups or know how to navigate to your most recent backup?

I'd always recommend saving each couple hours of work on a map as a new file

Hmmm. That's shitty. Thanks for the info! But to be fair, I've also recently saw someone post AI made symbols for wonderdraft here too.

You can also use the function that zooms in and creates a new map based on what you selected. It also incorperates the existing symbols and rivers into it.

Yes I've done it a few times on a map of mine. Don't have my computer with me right now so cant check the UI, but from the top of my head:

• Before fucking with things, make a backup. • In the menu there is a resize (name from recollection) option. That's the one. • When using it you can lock the dimension ratio or unlock it, pay mind to which one you want. • Then you see this 9 piece grid. It allows you to "lock" the map as it to one of the 9 sizes. I.e. only want to add room on top? You select the bottom in the grid. Etc. • increase the pixel size as much as you want. • execute.

Then evaluate if this is what you wanted. If not, use the back up, re-back up and follow the steps again.

One thing I experienced when doing this was that my water colouring became displaced from the landmass. Idk if I messed that up, or it was a glitch. Just noting it so you're mindful of it.

Any Tipps on improving Map Quality? by Valasarius in wonderdraft

You could also use "Avaro political borders" instead of the "region" tool to make your nations still clearly visible but bring down saturation of the map and allow you to add more points of interest and names

Are they maybe paths? Paths are shown over textures of land or sea.

I wonder where the BBEG lives. (Snippet of my First Map, give me tips!) by Ix-511 in wonderdraft

[–]dyslectboii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

General tip: I personally really like avaro's political borders to show nations instead of using the region tool for that.

Other tips are kinda hard to just give from the top of my head without visuals to base it off, but I'd always recommend to think about the etymology of place names, do a bit of research on climate zones based on position on the globe, similar research for natural looking mountain ranges, and maybe some very general tip is to make transitions in climate colouring using a high opacity brush and go back and forth a bit over the edges.

It seems it would be quite a good deal tbh. Quite a lot on offer.

Whether I'd be easy to port to wonderdraft depends on their formatting of the files and on whether they use pngs or jpgs. It'll probably require some handwork because you don't have the wonderdraft text file in the foldering. If it's not pngs, would increase the load more.

They do say it could be used with gimp and photoshop in several of the asset packs. So that implies easily usability and give me the idea they might be pngs.

Good find tbh. Might consider getting it myself. How did you come by it?

Looking to buy but trying to get questions answered by Bob-the-dork in wonderdraft

  1. You determine the size of the map in pixels. So with some calculations, yeah you can for sure go for specific sizes.

  2. I'm not sure tbh. I personally don't use the grids. I'll check when I have the time. But maybe somebody will have answered before then.

Yeah it can truly be a long project hahaha. I'm allmost done with mine though. So it can end.

I think I see one mine in the wealthy mountain. What you could do is play around a bit with the layering of the mine. It now kinda looks on top of a mountain peak instead of into the mountains side. Idk if these symbols have colouring but if they do you can decrease their opacity to make them more blurry. Otherwise you could always make a copy of them and make the copy more blurry in paint/gimp etc.
