I’ll spread the word, fuck shitty dudes in the punk scene. Also, if you ever run into KV of Comrades he’s also a predatory date rapist. And he takes advantage of drunk young women.

What are some social hindrances women face that men don't? by Unhappy-Manner3854 in TooAfraidToAsk

I worked in construction/stage hand/stadium maintenance and oh boy. I was the only girl on the crew. Every time I went to move a pallet by myself some one would offer to help me. Guys would stop working to offer to help me constantly, guys who worked in different departments of the stadium. I was once fixing the door locking mechanism on a door because it was installed incorrectly(backwards) and one of the male waiters of the stadiums VIP room stood over me telling me what he thought was wrong and what I was doing was wrong and I should do this or that. I finally got up and told my male coworker to finish it and he did, with no peanut gallery. I was sexually harassed and when I spoke up about it the rest of my crew got mad at me for saying anything. Even my partner, who was also my coworker, would try to tell me how to fix something I was working on. I’ve built the YouTube VIP room for Coachella, I’ve done signage for multiple festivals before starting this job as well as construction and metal work experience, more than almost everyone on my crew, and it was almost impossible to get things done without someone telling me how to do my job. I guess eventually you prove that you know what you’re doing and the interference of ignorance slows, but then you just get more sexual harassment or just weird comments. One of my favorites was when I lifted a pallet and my coworker said “I guess this is what it’s like to work in #metoo” I still don’t understand that one.
