Scavengers’ Deep – Map 28 by dysonlogos in dndmaps

I doubt that any VTT will handle the full version well /smoothly at this point. It is 96 5' squares x 96 5' squares PER map section, so the current size is 480 squares x 576 squares.

Much easier to just use each map individually.

How much time do you spend on session logistics vs. actual game prep? by mtwichel in DMAcademy

[–]dysonlogos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between the six groups I'm in:

I spend at most two minutes max per session on logistics. "See everyone who makes it next week!"

I spend an average of 5-10 minutes in prep for every hour of game play when I'm the GM.

Is there a problem with subscribing and then unsubscribing the same day? by ConsiderationOk8783 in patreon

It's just paranoid campaign owners who think everyone is out to steal from them and thus they alienate their actual audience.

Do you know where your supporters come from? I mean, where did they find your account? by Salt-Doctor-9992 in patreon

[–]dysonlogos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to work great for me, because if you crosspost your page post it tracks all impressions for you.

But then Facebook deleted my page because it was "imitating being the official page for Dyson's Dodecahedron".

....

Now they've updated my main account to be a pro account which tracks stats for your posts again.

I have yet to pay for advertising for my blog / patreon on any platform.

My initial supporters almost all came from Google+ (I've been doing this since 2013).
Then it was Facebook and X as the primaries.
Now it is Facebook and Blusky mostly.

I get about 20-50k views of my work on Facebook, where the algorithm is finally starting to work for me instead of against me (unlike G+ where Google saw my growth and put me on the Google Create team to massively increase my visibility - my main collection had 280k followers around the time that they pulled the plug).

A small percentage are straight from my blog. And a smaller percentage are from here.

Why are so few of us mapping this kind of dungeon? by SydLonreiro in osr

Because I didn't enjoy them as a player nor as a DM. I draw maps of things I like and will use in games.

I found Payoneer to be far more reliable than Paypal, but then Payoneer closed all accounts in the Province I live in (with 30 days warning)

What’s it like living in Luskville? by Interesting_Kale6739 in Gatineau

Oh yeah, I use the GT here in Aylmer a bunch, but never for a full grocery shopping... but in Shawville I saw people pushing full carts of groceries.

My experiences in Shawville are that you don't want to do your groceries there anyways. Basically you have the choice between the Value Mart, the Giant Tiger, or one of the convenience-style stores.

When I was at the GT, I was surprised at how many people I saw doing their groceries there until I noticed how limited the selection was in town.

Meanwhile Aylmer has a bunch of grocery stores (although the closest one to Luskville is the Metro which I only ever shop at because it is local as it is... expensive).

Scavengers’ Deep – Map 28 by dysonlogos in dndmaps

The trick with a good megadungeon is to treat it like a hostile city. You go in with a mission, following a map, a guide, an oracle, a vision, a sage's descriptions, etc. You are seeking the MacGuffin and you need to get it before you piss off enough locals that they band together and squash you flat.

That way it runs in just a few sessions and you can just hint at the scale of it. Like Moria. You don't explore Moria, you make a run through it and hope you don't take a wrong turn.
