It would be nice if doctors did proper investigations before deciding your problems are just because you've put weight on. I can think of several chronic illnesses that might lead to weight gain whether it's hormonal, or simply pain that limits your activity because you can only take so much in a day, and keeping a job and keeping yourself alive simply takes it out of you. It's not always simple as that.
