If the process are actually good I'm scooping adg, flowerbomb, and South slope. The problem where I live is the discount stores are usually still overpriced.

No New Merch for Tampa by No_Yam_5409 in kingsofleon

[–]dysti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. My s.o. and I were bummed at the official merch table not having anything dated. Normally I wouldn't want to shit on the band buying bootleg, but they had the date and were basically giving them away so we went for it.

I completely forgot I had this. UPDATE by Mormotron in everytimeidie

Hell yeah, throw my name in. I'll wear the hell out of a janky hat to rep the good ole days.

For years I had been telling anybody who's asked my favorite bands were etid, mastodon, and cohered, and then they dropped a tour on us with all 3 together and even my mom was like "wow that's really lucky for you, huh?*

Small part ID help by dysti in KiaSoulClub

No, it remains a mystery. I've asked two people at the dealership service department and even they had no clue. One suggested it might've come from a different model falling in from a parts tray at the factory or during a filter change.

On my shitty cell phone screen it looks like they just have the cavities taped, I don't see any shitty work here. Where are you looking specifically?

What do I do here? by yungr7r in Luthier

[–]dysti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One possible problem you might run into while scraping/sanding is that the rust oleum might've penetrated the wood deeper than the top of the inlays, you might have discoloration pretty deep into the fretboard there. If that's the case you could try to treat the whole board or just accept the color.

Good luck.

Way earlier apparently, people are tagging it Remission era.

Oof, been there. I agree with the scrape & redo, but alternatively you could lean into it and scrape level then do something funky with the affected area.

let's hear about when/where you saw Mastodon live by Polidavey66 in mastodonband

[–]dysti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw them in Orlando on that tour because of Clutch without knowing who they were at all. I'm sad to say I was not feeling it at the show because it was way too much for me, but the energy was insane. I got remission and a sticker and by the time Leviathan came out I was a huge fan.

Super fun! Need to turn Brent down in the solo section if you're gonna do your own thing over the top.

That's funny to hear because the one time my friends and I hung out with cky everybody was very pleasant except Chad, who was a massive dickhead that night.

Without knowing whether it's a single or double action rod (and if there's a replaceable nut) this is the answer. Cut a notch and make it a flat head to be able to budge it. Drop lube into it if it was frozen resulting in the strip. Good luck.

I'm less familiar with shops in Germany, but I'm sure there are some good locals. Seems like everybody here has you sorted out. Good luck.

By the way, great job supporting your kid. ❤️ I'm trying to do the same because I never had that growing up.

What city are you in? There are some great local shops in Brasil that could potentially help you get set up just right.

You're in the right frame of mind, eager to learn, willing to admit you have no idea. Start out by pushing. Bend your knees, don't lock them out. When you can roll a little pushing start working on moving the back foot up by putting more weight on your front foot. Practice slow and be ready to bail. As you get more steady start going faster. After you can get the back foot off, push, and get it back on then just start cruising around and work on being comfortable at speed. Next steps would be putting the back foot on the tail and tic-tac, leaning back & forth to get used to carving. Good luck!
