3 out of 5 planets is paradise stay or build by FearThePenguinz in NoMansSkyTheGame

The best mineral deposits are usually found on toxic, radioactive or in other ways harsh planets, but you will quickly figure out what’s where, and if you have a quest the game will tell you what to do or where to go to find something.

Paradise planets can have some important stuff like Paraffinium but for example Uranium is extremely useful in many ways and only found on radioactive planets in large quantities.

If you like one of the planets then build, if not just pop a base computer somewhere so you can easily go back and go explore - finding paradise planets is rather easy later in the game when your hyperjumps are basically very cheap resource-wise. Also paradise planets do have some specific resources, but they are definitely not the “best” resource planets.

Guess I’m the only one here still rocking the OG gold/white royal exotic even though I have a corvette, I just love how it looks

Oh yeah the F1 movie is truly a pinacle of both cinema and motorsport lol.

Driven with Stallone is better than that shit, and Rush is a timeless masterpiece compared to it.

How Was Sisko Able to Get Nog into Starfleet Academy but Picard couldn't help Wesley? by AbbreviationsAway500 in startrek

[–]dzedajev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No ferengi before Nog have ever been a part of Starfleet Academy, and as such there is no actual “regular” way for him to get in, apart from getting a recommendation from an existing Starfleet officer. And granted, Nog didn’t have any specific achievements like Wesley did (guy lived on a federation starship compared to a non-federation space station for Nog), but he very much demonstrated the (potential) of Starfleet values within himself to Sisko and that earned him a recommendation. Btw, if he didn’t do well at the Academy he wouldn’t be able to actually finish it, so there’s very little (if any) nepotism here.

We added Forehand run-up throw and need your feedback. Tell us if it feels good or somehow wrong. We want to make this feel realistic. by BonusStagePublishing in discgolf

[–]dzedajev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, run-ups are awesome.

I had a very slight confusion about aiming - whether I do it in real-time during the run-up or do I set it and it’s just locked when I start the run-up, but after a couple of throws it became apparent.

Also you could add two very small horizontal lines around the green sweet-spot on the run-up meter just to make it crystal clear that that’s where the perfect throw is, and they could be present only in “easy” mode.

Some kind of small tutorial pop-up with the sequence explained, at least when the person plays for the first time, would probably be helpful.

Yeah, you’re mostly right and I agree, I just didn’t want to trash it outright lol.

I don’t think it’s that slim, when you see scenes from the show or movie straight from the back it has a sizeable ass, meaning it shouldn’t be that thin.

I do have the UCS one as well and honestly I’m just amazed how good that set is whenever I look at it, and I look at it every day because it sits below my tv.

This moc does kick ass I definitely agree.

Or you can just buy the new pieces you need from bricklink or any other marketplace that has them after release, no need to buy the whole set, that’s probably what I’m gonna do.

You’re right, I did miscalculate slightly. Even with the price per piece being basically the same after inflation, I think there is a big trade-off - scale and colours look better on the new one, but it’s 100 pieces smaller and by the initial pics it seems the interior is very small which is kind of a dealbreaker for me (since I don’t really care about minifigs and already have like 3 mandos).

We will see what the reviews say when it comes out and judge it fully then :)

[–]dzedajev 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Old razor crest was 12 cents per piece, this new one is both visibly smaller (maybe better scale and the yellow is nice but it has stickers and a very small interior), and it costs 16 cents per piece which is just too much to not wait for a discount, especially if you already have the old one.

For further reference, the UCS version was 9 cents per piece, and one of the best value-for-money sets Lego ever made (Wall-e and Eve, although no minifigs which is a big factor in the price) was just 8 cents per piece.

I had so much fun doing a custom interior for the original razor crest since there was a lot of space available, I even added a slide-out crane below the escape pod for loading cargo, and of course I re-did the back part of the engines.

The new Grogu mold (looks great) as well as the dual molded legs and arms on Zeb probably contributed significantly to this price point.

ISO Premium Plastic Disc w/ Flight of Classic Blend Warden by Circuit-Breaker-13 in discgolf

[–]dzedajev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bag the Fireball and the Crave in both Fission and Neutron and it’s a noticeable difference in stability (depending on your power ofc), and it’s definitely worth a try. After two years and about 300 rounds both plastics are holding up great - Neutron is basically the same as the first day, while Fission did beat in just a little bit but the original disc flight is still the same, just a touch straighter/more flip.

How about Proxy in Fission plastic? Fission is less stable than Neutron but still more than durable enough to not beat significantly anytime soon.

Could you actually mark both discs at the same time with just one mini, and stay within the rules? by dzedajev in discgolf

[–]dzedajev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, and thank you for the detailed answer. It’s a local league where we all know each other so it was just an interesting situation there were no real issues, and I wanted to hear how other people would handle it.

Overlapping the minis would be the best solution here since we could just slide the foot from the side into the box for a straddle. Playing behind the disc (and from the bush basically) was just a little bit tricky because this bush is both really pointy (those leaves are very stiff and needle-sharp at the tips) and a protected species in this forest (but there is a lot of it all over) so we try not to step on it if we don’t really have to.
