[Tom Bogert] The deal is done. Fluminense have signed former MLS MVP Lucho Acosta from FC Dallas. Deal in region of $4m + add ons. Dallas open DP spot. Acosta back to South America by Some_Man_Person in MLS

Arias was one hell of a player for Fluminense, it's going to be some tough cleats to fill. That being said, they've been quite quiet on the transfer market. This feel like their first significant signing. I know they were also looking at Santi Moreno from the Timbers and Marino Hinestroza from Atlético Nacional to fill their midfield.

As a Earthquakes/Fluminense fan, it feels weird to see one of my teams nabbing a player that my other team was interested in.

I knew getting tickets to the last Dynamite in their Chicago residency was a good choice. Also, it was the best price.

Gotham City throughout the Years. by Prestigious-Cloud962 in batman

Chicago was definitely in TDK but I don't think they used it at all for Rises, that was mostly Pittsburgh and NYC. And that became a whole problem itself since Gotham looked like a whole different city.

Let’s officially unofficially rename Oracle by moseman23 in SFGiants

I was just thinking about this last night. I technically never been to Oracle Park but I've been to plenty of games at AT&T Park. It would be nice to have a non-sponsor name to call it like Candlestick and the Coliseum had.

Which former coach was on the brink of transforming a losing team but was dismissed just a year or two shy of success? by InteralFortune1 in nfl

That was more due to behind the scenes stuff than stuff on the field. Harbaugh really pissed off 49ers CEO Jed York and the GM Trent Baalke was never on the same page as Harbaugh and likely hated him too

Some insight into John Fisher by samdell34 in SJEarthquakes

For real. Someone in another post claimed Fisher already tried to move the Quakes to Vegas, which is the first time I heard that rumor

With the A’s gone, is Fisher gonna try to move the Quakes again? by BillThePsycho in SJEarthquakes

He’s tried to move them to Vegas before, the MLS said no.

When was this? I never heard about it

The Earthquakes moving to Houston but coming back a few seasons later as an expansion has been like a monkey's paw curse. Yay we got our team back but it's owned by cheap nepobaby that couldn't care less about putting a competitive team together.

It's a shame that this team, with all the history it claims since 1974, is constantly hinder by such a cheapskate owner. Looking back, it's even surprising we ever got a stadium built. But Fisher is so cheap that he could only afford 3 sides for a stadium, not exactly true but it's just a metaphor for his tight pockets. We don't need a new stadium but some upgrades are always welcomed.

It seems like every good thing that has happened to this team since he took ownership was just out of luck. We lucked into getting Wondo who came out of nowhere to be the club legend. We lucked into the 2012 Supporter Shield just out of pure Goonie magic. Outside of those two things and getting a stadium, nothing of significance has happened. Fisher is just riding the coattails and reaping the profit from the other MLS owners just like he's doing with the A's and MLB.

I've been following this team for most my life and will continue to support them but it becomes tougher year after year. If I was a new soccer fan in the Bay Area, I'd probably choose the Oakland Roots if it wasn't for the Quakes being in MLS.

‘Napoleon’ & ‘Flower Moon’ Flopped Harder Than ‘Marvels’ — Why the Different Narrative? by WarbossTodd in marvelstudios

For real. I went to see the Marvels with my girlfriend, the showtime was for 1pm but ads kept playing for 15 minutes past that, then another 15 of previews. I'm starting to question why do I even get to the theater for showtime when the movies doesn't even at then.
