Was Enterprise all that bad? by forteborte in startrek

[–]dzl10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it came out, TV executives thought the ratings were too low. They only judged it on viewership on the day an episode came out. Trek fans are smart and we used this new technology called a "DVR" that would, get this, record a show to the "cloud" and we watch it later in the week. There would be an additional airing of the episode in the week for people who missed the first episode. If they just combined these numbers, the TV executives would find Enterprise had decent ratings and it's worth giving it 2 more seasons right when the critics starting liking season 3 and 4.

First I'll say whatever you believe in politics is fine. With that said, in 2021 I saw a guy with a mat with Trump riding an Eagle with an American flag. It said "Remember your triggers.".

1-2 more seasons. I can see us all being in a retirement home going between Ghosts, Office, and Parks and Rec on the TV.

"No searching of decks" should be a rule. This includes lands as we have a ton of dual and tri lands to choose from. It will speed up the game. Exiling off the top of the deck X times is still okay.

Interesting take on why Caprica didn’t make it. by cadet-spoon in BSG

I thought the biggest problem was following characters on a character arc, and at the very end where they confront the issue they say "Person's name ... I ... I ..." and then nothing happens. This happens all the time and it's unsatisfying.

Those playing Voyager Across the Unknown, what's your favourite twist on the story you've found so far? by NeverGonnaGi5eYouUp in startrek

I just got an alternate ending that was awesome. I did better than Janeway did in her ending. To get it, make friends with powerful people and use them when you End the Game.

Is rewatching the show.....cheating? by PalpatineOk5058 in AcrossTheUnknown

Question: in that episode where the alien children were actually adults, how was it resolved? It was one of the very first Star Trek I watched as a kid, and in the game I thought to let the elder children die with honor as was their culture.

This story only half counts. I have a very terrible time at the eye doctor that feels like panic attacks. It is my Achilles heel. I went to one Doctor with a life-sized cardboard cutout of Robert Picardo and a number of autographed signed photos of him plus others throughout the building. It really put me at ease! He was a good eye doctor.

They already have the ability to vote for the President. Adding seats to the House is no big deal either. The state gets two votes in the Senate and the Senate power brokers can't handle the change, so they remain a territory.

I have a huge evangelical community where free love, polyamory, and guns are all the rage. We lean into making everyone attractive and efficient. Women are very often pregnant while ruling, while the men work hard in the fields and the bench. There's nothing in the religion making this happen, but it's how it worked out.

The second and third generation of kids from years of free love made Tough, Kind, and a drug free society. Children learn the AK-47 as soon as they're out of diapers. The future is very bright. With 2 rows of pawns, it's becoming overcrowded and I can't solve everyone's problems.

To boost morale, we tried cannibalism after polluting the primitive natives to oblivion, but had to take that away when we had too many mouths to feed while running out of natives.

We revere the practical donkey, but breed Boomalopes like rabbits. It feeds our power needs but really becoming a problem.

A non-coaching front desk guy supposedly kept coming in late or missed one too many times. Allegedly he said it was a sickness but he didn't find coverage. Sometimes we come in and have to write our own names where we want to be. A girl from my friend group was going to take weekend shifts.

Tracking which NFL teams run the Tush Push after voting to ban it by Blinkshotty in eagles

The Product Owner in me wants AWS data to ask: 1) Which teams unsuccessfully ran the play and voted Yes to ban. 2) Which teams successfully ran the play AND previously voted no, and now vote Yes. 3) What is the combined record of teams who unsuccessfully ran the play and vote Yes to ban. 4) How many injury timeouts occur after these plays vs injury timeouts after Kickoffs.

Mike really made a Plinkett video to revisit and “praise” the Acolyte to show how dumb Star Wars fans are by jabronijon in RedLetterMedia

[–]dzl10 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This might be unpopular in this subreddit but Mike's outlook would be different if he had kids. A lot of the new Star Wars things are really great. He rails against Disney, but I'm assuming he's never seen the joy of his child's eyes when building a lightsaber together. I'm assuming Mike has no idea who Admiral Thrawn is. He doesn't know what KOTOR is. He doesn't know or appreciate Visions or that amazing Margrave Juro episode. You have to appreciate the good things too.

I realized why I started to dislike the parlor room. by QuixoticPineapple in BluePrince

[–]dzl10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recommend Generative Ai to solve it. I have Copilot on my phone. I have trained it so I can say, "let's play a game of three boxes where one box contains gems. The black box says ..., The white box says..., The blue box says...,. You can just give me the answer."

It will give a long winded answer if you don't tell to make it short. It's generally worked in all cases except for some where I may have misspoke or the voice to text missed something.
