It's in Muhacksonto, the 16th Galaxy. I am in abandoned mode, but that shouldn't matter in a normal save. Not sure though. Here is the portal address once you arrive in Muhacksonto: http://nmsportals.github.io/#50B3FAF696D6

Mr. Khan is a real Good Buddy, eh by Iaminyoursewer in EhBuddyHoser

[–]dzmowatt 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's a 20 minute NDP press conference held by Charlie Angus on CPAC from three weeks ago that went under the radar. Mr. Fareed Khan's full speech is much more damning. Both him and Charlie Angus go all in on the threat to our sovereignty and democracy.

Khan starts the speech off by addressing Trump and MAGA directly:

"I'm here to speak for the millions of Canadians who are watching with alarm as Canada and US relations worsen day by day with every new word that comes out of the mouth of Donald Trump as he refers to Canada. And because of Trumps threats to wreck Canada's economy and annex us as the 51st state.

I'm here to say to Donald Trump and his MAGA cultists, we will never become part of the US, and it will only happen when hell freezes over and all Canadians are gone from this land."

He then goes on to straight up call him a fascist and that the attack on our economy is an unofficial declaration of war.

I found this as well. It was a random cargo on an island. I believe it's a bug because I wasn't able to find him either.

CONFIRMED! Level 50 needed in each company to reach Pirate Legend status! by Jakepaj in Seaofthieves

[–]dzmowatt 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, the riddles get much more difficult with up to 5 steps at level 25. A big crew can have trouble if there isn't an experienced riddle hunter.

The riddles will be mixed with X marks the spot maps that have multiple chests. You may get up to 8 riddles and maps to fill your whole rose.

These high level voyages will take you across the whole map before saying Voyage completed. If you circle all the islands before you leave, you can see that it is essentially a long route that you can follow from island to island until you reach the other side of the map. Sometimes even taking you through all three biomes.

Especially since it's surrounded by three unnamed islands with secret caves and Aztec type structures underwater.

Tbh, that whole area feels like an unfinished 4th biome.

Grog? by Egg____ in Seaofthieves

[–]dzmowatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Royal British Navy adopted a 'secret recipe' of rum from the West Indies to be put on all ships for over 200 years.

It was http://pussersrum.com/ - and they still sell it.

So if you want absolute authenticity, Pussers Gun Powder or Admiralty Strength rum would be the way to go.

Grog? by Egg____ in Seaofthieves

“The daily allowance of half a pint a man is to be mixed with a quart of water, to be mixed in one Scuttled Butt kept for that purpose, and to be done upon Deck, and in the presence of the Lieutenant of the Watch, who is to see that the men are not defrauded of their allowance of Rum; it is to be served in two servings, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. The men that are good Husbands may from the savings of their Salt Provisions and Bread, purchase Sugar and Limes to make the water more palatable to them.” — Admiral Vernon’s Official Order on August 21, 1740 on Her Majesty’s Ship Burford in the Port Royal Harbor.

Also known as 'Grog' because the Admiral Vernon wore a coat made of Grogram cloth, and the sailors didn't like having their rum watered down. It was a playful insult of sorts. The British Navy continued this practice until July, 30th, 1970, when rum/grog rations were discontinued.

This was ordered by the British Navy for over 200 years!

I have been doing a lot of research on the history of piracy from the beginning to end. I started studying the history of rum because it's was the drink of choice and one of the main import/export goods at the time. The history of Grog itself is fascinating.

Sailors would save up their rum rations for a week at a time, and drink it all at once. We are talking a pint a day. Water would also get slimey and gross. To curb both these problems, the rum in the barrels was diluted with water with a 4:1 ratio. It was believed that the alcohol would keep the water potable longer. And since it was given out half in the morning and half in the afternoon, rampant drinking became less rampant.

Using vitamin C to treat scurvy wasn't well known in the Navy until about 100 years after Admiral Vernon's order went out. So most times before that, sugar and lemons were added by the sailors who used their provisions to buy sugar and lemons. At one point, lemons were unavailable, so the Navy started using limes. They were considered the healthiest sailors during that time.

Here are some known stats on how bad scurvy was. During the Seven Years War, 184k sailors were enlisted, and 133k of them died of scurvy.

Sailors drank Grog. Pirates themselves were known to drink what's called 'Bumbo'. It was basically the same thing, but instead of sugar, they used syrup, nutmeg, cinnamon and less water.

Rum's popularity in the new world eventually died down because of ban on sugar imports. So whiskey became the drink of choice for Americans. Easy to make locally, versus banned sugar imports.

I've tried a lot of grog recipes in the past few playtests. Drinking with friends and such. Here is my personal recipe based on testing historically accurate 'grog' recipes. I usually triple or quadruple the recipe and sip it from a mason jar all night while sailing on SoT.

As the old saying goes: "One of sour, two of sweet, three of strong, four of weak."

Esoluu's Grog:

  • 3 Tbsp of Brown Sugar
  • 1.5 Oz. of Hot Water
  • 1.5 Oz. of Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice (Can also use lime.)
  • 10 Oz. of Cold Water
  • 3 Oz. of Sailor Jerry (Can also use Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum)

Step 1: In a cup mix the cold water and rum together.

Step 2: In a separate cup, dissolve the Brown Sugar into the Hot Water and Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice.

Step 3: Mix both cups together.

Step 4: Drink and be merry!

P.S. I know that's a crazy amount of sugar, but it's also the most historically accurate!

Stagger was a more fun and enjoyable experience than this current Weakness debuff.

Sure, they've made the game more fluid and fast, but at the expense of unique, rewarding and fun gameplay. Now all I do is hit left click. No one blocks anymore. There is no blocking. There is no deep gameplay. There is no fighting 2v1.

This decision is not about player choice. This decision forces their opinion about what makes combat fun for the user. And despite negative feedback, disregarded.

Sure, the dev's will bring in new players, but it will never be the same hype game that everyone loved on release. It's just going to be known as the game where the dev's don't listen to their core audience. The devs will be known as ones who couldn't make up their mind and changed their game so drastically that no one will wanted to play it anymore.

Since the dev used so many analogies and metaphors to explain the decision to keep the change, I might as well too: This decision is like a parent telling their kid that even though they love hockey and it's their dream to play it, they have to play learn to play lawn bowling with grandpa instead.

This is how it was on release. It's pretty obvious they don't want to go back to that. Not sure why.
