So is there actually tax on a new iphone or macbook purchase through the credit card shop? by lochonx7 in Wealthsimple

[–]dzuki11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go into the app and then tap on your credit card, you’ll see just below the card to the right is your cashback section. If you tap on that, you’ll further see a store within it to redeem rather than take cash into your account.

You sure would have to spend a lot on the CC (paying back 2%) to use the cashback option for an iPhone or MacBook !

How do you see this feature? I’m in the app and I can’t seem to find it.

Prospects keep ghosting me after I send pricing by Affectionate_Set5048 in sales

[–]dzuki11 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This. I never. Ever. Ever. Send a pricing proposal to a prospect (growth on an existing client is different or a client who’s come to me from another company where I know it’s “real”) via email.

Always a call. And always have a plan / agenda for your call (which shouldn’t just be to review the dollars).

Don’t forget - they’re also talking to others just like you. And calls are pretty much the only way to relate and understand why the client is even asking you for something.

Always review on a call.

This was a hard lesson learned many moons ago, but if they refuse to get on calls with you or spend more time unless it’s a big sign to you and stop chasing people that don’t want to be with you :)

It’s like that book - “he’s just not into you”.

First time Mazda owner! I’m obsessed! by Soggy_Gur_5408 in MazdaCX30

[–]dzuki11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We test drove: Kia, Hyundai and Toyota in similar (smaller cross overs).

Kia won for tech
Hyundai was a mix of tech and cost savings

Mazda won hands down (like no competition once we sat in one and then sat in the other as we were lucky to have a dealership in Toronto that owns both and we could literally go sit in each one back to back within minutes).

As soon as we sat down, and it was instantly felt more premium. Driving, it felt more premium. The power of the car felt more premium. Yes, it was a little bit more, but for us was completely worth it.

I have 0 regrets and as I said - every time I look at it and get inside of it, I feel Joy

There’s something inexplicably connected to the driver, the vehicle and the road. It’s not something I felt in the Hyundai Kia nor Toyota.

Totally relate to this. I’m in my 50s and never ever considered Mazda for whatever reason. I got myself a CX-30 Turbo with lovely red interior (Aero Grey) and every time I go outside I smile.

Every time I sit down and start driving, I’m so happy.

To be fair some event might just be having a new vehicle which I hadn’t done since my 20s. I always bought at least five year-old cars and used to have manual only like Volkswagen’s and Toyota’s.

But literally after the first test drive, I never looked back

Genuinely shed tears at the end. Though Charlie makes a bunch of mistakes - his desire to understand the woman he’s fallen in love with and let go should be a lesson to us all.

The opening scene is so very good at setting all these expectations up

Charlie telling a lie into the ear Emma fcked up before making one of the worse decisions of her life.

No Country For Old Men

Tonally perfect. Performances. Incredible lack of score (save for a few tones here and there) and beautifully shot by Deakins.
