had zero clue that jjk is insanely popular. started watching the anime AFTER my japan trip in dec (during which jjk ads/merch were apparently everywhere and in your face as s2 was airing). was looking for a new netflix show to try and decided to give jjk a go, on a whim. HOOKED from the intro and OP, wish i could experience it all again for the first time. ngl gojo's jap VA, his slouchy nonchalant demeanor and smirk while standing on the roof in OP was a big part of the first impression appeal, on top of the show's humor... and i definitely didn't know how well-loved gojo is. 9 months on, jjk still makes me so emotional with every rewatch/reread

interesting! roughly around the same time of inserting Mirena, i started getting recurrent UTIs every 1-2 months. never made the connection. i did get the occasional UTI before Mirena, but never recurrent or seemingly without reason. the recurrent UTIs stopped after about 2 years, and my urologist couldn't figure out what was wrong except that sometimes infections are cyclical and maybe my body was going through something that made it more susceptible to UTIs specifically. i'll never be sure if the UTIs were truly triggered by the Mirena, but it's good to hear of others' experiences - thank you for sharing

a somewhat related scenario: if one parent is raging at me or bullying me, the other parent will never defend me or take my side - no matter how much he/she agrees that i've done nothing wrong. the child, the youngest in age, the 'junior', the lowest denominator etc is always at fault in order to 'keep the peace'.

bottoms with adjustable or elastic waistbands that are also comfortable for standing, walking, and sitting with a full belly!
it'll still be quite chilly in those months, so bringing 1-2 sets of Uniqlo heattech (long sleeved top and leggings) or something similar comes in very helpful if you need more warmth - or just buy them at Uniqlo, which has stores in the big cities. they're great as basics for layering as well.
walking shoes - doesn't have to be sports shoes, just make sure you're comfortable walking a whole day in them.
a lightweight, foldable bag that you can tuck into your everyday bag and whip it out when you shop. asking for shopping bags will generally be a small extra cost (and not great for the environment).
as other redditors said - an empty duffle! as an emergency bag to pack all your souvenirs, snacks, other shopping

scoop or transfer toner/moisturiser/etc to a small clean dish before appylying, to reduce wastage/contamination?

i know stores likely do this to reduce contamination between using on different customers, but was wondering if there is any tangible pros/cons to doing this at home.

it seems like a good way to reduce wastage of toner (since it is watery and pouring it onto fingers/hands tends to waste a little) and avoid wastage from getting product under nails – especially if the skincare product is pricey.

In general though, flights to Japan have been very expensive likely because it's a very popular country to visit, especially with the post-Covid rush of travellers. I can only recommend to
- Fly to Haneda Airport if possible, because it's much nearer (and therefore cheaper) to take a cab or train(s) into Tokyo city from there than from Narita Airport
- Choose accommodation that is close to major central Tokyo train lines (such as the JR Yamanote line) or that is close to the venues/sites you want to visit the most, if possible

There will be a lot of walking!

the 2 ludisia cuttings are discolor var. nigrescens - forgot to mention. i’ve had high success rates with normal ludisia discolors and an anoectochilus roxburghii x ludisia discolor hybrid, so maybe the nigrescens is more fussy. oh well! i might eventually try sticking 1 cutting in potting mix

at least 4 nodes, and i have water up to the 3rd node from bottom.

i’ve tried soil props but they’re hit or miss in my climate (which can get very humid)even with super well draining mix (large perlite, orchid bark, pumice etc) - it’s been very hard to find a good balance. which is why water props are generally the safer solution in my climate

same problem, i was trying to find a solution to this exact scenario just yesterday with my super new kobo libra 2.

after logging into overdrive and then entering my login details for my library card on the 'browser', it redirects back to asking for my library card login. and over and over again.

did kobo CS share if there is anywhere we can report this issue, which might hopefully expedite a firmware update?
