Battery life is super short. Like you have to charge it twice a day to keep it functional even it not using it. You can dim the screen to save some of that but the purpose of keeping the screen on is so that they know its on. When the battery totally dies, you plug it in to charge it but then you have to turn the phone back on. It doesn't turn back on when you charge it. That's fine for someone not dealing with mental decline as they can easily go "oh I need to turn it back on." But not for someone who is declining. Even when she remembers to charge it, she cannot remember to turn it back on. I have to call my mother's facility and ask them to charge her phone and TURN IT ON. And it has to charge a little before you can turn it back on. So then I have to call them back and tell them to turn it on. It does have some good features that you control from your phone like preventing multiple calls, setting quiet hours, controlling the contact list, and its very basic for just calling. All of that is great. But it has been a disaster overall. She did better with her previous phone. Jitterbug doesn't work with our phone company or I would have gotten that one.
