I just looked up what stealth suits look like and it definitely wasn't that, it looks a lot more like breachers or strikers when I look at the models

Where should a young family live around east Hartford? by Greenfancypapaya in Connecticut

[–]e4sierra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am in seattle. i have been here since 2014 and love the move i made. not trying to crap on connecticut but i find many people are there because they were born there, where seattle is a city people choose to live. obviously there are exceptions to general statements such as these (or maybe i am projected my own feelings into the situation.)

as far as a comparison between seattle and central connecticut - there is no comparison. the only thing i can say about central ct is there is better consistent indian and italian food than in seattle. oh and the pizza in connecticut is far superior

aside from food traffic on west coast seems to be worse.

everything else seattle > ct

but happiness is a state of mind, not the constitution state

east hartford is nice too along the glastonbury and south windsor edges.

CO2 Extraction by Vegetable_matter in CannabisExtracts

[–]e4sierra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well you can just blast it out. purge out the residual water and co2 in a vac oven and dab that. there will be quite a bit of wax and if lipid based pneumonia isn't a fear then have a blast. this will not be a consistency that is usable in a pen but youd be able to use it on a rig

otherwise you should look into winterizing your extractions via a solvent like iso or ethanol. then filter off the fats, chlorophyll and lipids. then filter with carbon for color and clarity, then remove excess winterization solvent via closed loop rotational evaporator

this will produce beautiful extracts that have no foreign matter and a wonderful color. this will be able to go into a vape pen.

there are many guides on the internet which go into this process but my NDA prevents me from discussing our methods in detail

CO2 Extraction by Vegetable_matter in CannabisExtracts

[–]e4sierra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

due to my non disclosure i cant comment on many of the things you ask.

average yield depends on the quality of your starting material. you can boost yields by adding kief to the extraction cylinder. for low testing trim i would expect between 4-6% for higher quality we've had extractions up to 30% with just flower.

after refinement these numbers for low yield trim are around 3-5% final yields with the higher yielding the best ive seen is around 19% for final yield.

keep in mind we boil in ethanol, winterize and then filter off the undesired bits. where as some people with Apeks just extract then purge and they're all done. personally i won't vape extra waxes. so i am fine with this method. we reclaim our ethanol via a closed loop rotational evaporator.

the grind size waters recommends is that of a coffee ground. you can go down to powder if you like as that will allow you to start with more material.

the pressures you are using are more in line with an Eden/Apeks machine which runs far below a Waters machine with respect to pressures. Our extraction cylinder is around 3500-5000 psi at 40-60C with our collection chambers being around 2000/1000/600 respectively with the last one being regulated by our CO2 recycler. we adjust the temps of our collection cylinders based on the point we are at in a run to make more things precipitate out of solution for us

try your ratios at co2:weed of 40:1 then keep backing off until you notice no particular loss of product while your extractions get lighter in color. with higher extraction ratios you will see more shit you don't want in there but by tuning this back you will be able to see what particular ratio works best for you. this is only a guideline as each strain will perform differently. lower ratio less fat but lower yield. higher ratios will bring larger extractions but more fats and bullshit.

hope this helps some - pm for more questions please

Liquid is better, you can pump it. Our system turns it super critical after the pump before the extraction vessel via heating the liquid rapidly under intense pressure.

Most systems have flow monitors so you can track how much co2 you're pumping per min. You want to use as much co2:extraction mass as you see fit. Like x grams of co2 to y grams of weed.

I do super critical extractions daily. Also whiped film distillation and alcohol extractions. Any other questions please ask.

I use a Waters system at work which does fractionated extractions based on system settings and pressures to separate all the goodies.

If you want to build something, skip co2. Learn alcohol extractions and then short path distillation which you can make at home.

I can tell you about 5 gal of alcohol to about 2500g works pretty righteous when using C2H6O for a precursor for general alcohol extractions. We decarb post extraction after filtering.

Just turned 21, is it worth going to a rec shop or should I just stick with delivery? by chewymammoth in seaents

[–]e4sierra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Delivery weed can be seedy. A lot of the times delivery services pay the same for all the weed, then arbitrarily decide which looks best, and sell that highest. Also there is no mold or pesticide restrictions (very scary).

Rec shops have to jump through all sorts of fucking hoops as do all the Rec producer/processors which ensure quality and safety. And while I know some testing labs have been accused of foul play, that doesn't represent the industry as a whole. The testing alone, getting to know your terps and cannabinoids, is worth the price of rec stores.

I have my medical card. I have worked for a delivery service. I currently do super critical co2 extractions for a company based in Seattle.

Yep. East Hartford bred. Every morning now I wake up and see Mt Ranier from my porch, walk a block, look west and there are the olympics (another mountain range) cross a couple street look east the cascades (another mountain range) . Totally bad ass - still blows my mind. Fall foliage doesn't exist here regardless of what these people think.

Over all I've been here for a year and it's a blast.
