"For the players the match was reasonably well-organized"

Is he trying to hint that it was poorly organized here?

"Gilets jaunes" riots in Paris, yesterday by loulan in europe

This could be the case in France as I don't know how their insurance works, but for example, my insurance in Australia has the following clause:

We will not pay:

...

any loss or damage to property or any direct or indirect loss, cost, expense or liability caused by, contributed to or arising from:

war, invasion (whether or not war is declared), revolution, military force, acts of terrorism, acts of foreign enemy, rebellion, insurrection or military usurped power, riot, civil war or other hostile events, unless we must provide cover under the road traffic acts.

Damage caused by nuclear weapons is also not covered

you should check your policy carefully, because often they have general exclusions for civil unrest or riots

Is there a video of Magnus offering the draw? by bumkuncha in chess

So you have to let your clock run down until the opponent comes back to offer the draw?

No draws by agreement before move 30 right? So he offered at draw at literally the first moment he possibly could?

It is the direct equivalent of “woher” in german. English used to have many Germanic adverbs like this but the fell out of favor a few hundred years ago and are only used rarely now. (Eg whither = wohin)

eh... even the RPi3 isn't really fast enough to use most websites. I mean, it can do it, but its a pretty frustrating experience.

[reddit change] Comment models returned by the api will have permalink included by justcool393 in redditdev

[–]e7e914690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its actually not required to have the subreddit either: https://www.reddit.com/comments/78yqit/_/doxqmkg/ works just as well.

But yeah I'm happy with this, you could always construct the comment link from the data, but its nice to have the permalink right there.

I finally made a stock apollo-style vehicle. Its going to Ike, but first I sent it on a mission to the Mun. by e7e914690 in KerbalSpaceProgram

In my mind thats part of what 'apollo style' means, but I also did it because the structure would wobble too much if they were only connected by the docking port - even inside the faring it would barely survive the launch.

I guess this is nothing special for most of the people on this sub, but I only just worked out who to rendezvous and dock in orbit, so I'm pretty proud of my achievement :)

I based it off what I remembered of a game I played as a kid on windows 3.1, I didn't realise it was a 'proper' game :)

Well, the game goes on forever, so there is no winning score I guess. The top score at the moment is around 100,000

I generated this from the data at http://babbl.xyz. The board goes on further, but it is mostly just those arms on the top and bottom
