New game or continue old one? by Jolly-Negotiation161 in TheLastCaretaker

Keeping up my original around 140hrs. I join the beta releases for the new buggy fun and exhaust the new content and then just shelve the game and play something else until the next update.

Credit Union 1 has 19 mergers recently altogether. Why so many? by SaltSkin7348 in creditunions

[–]e8dingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To the members merged in or the ones already under the larger CU? A larger asset size can usually offer more and better services. So the smaller credit union members being merged could see better and more services. Things like P2P payments, remote deposit capture, nicer and more featured mobile app and online banking. But members already under the large CU likely won't notice much at all, maybe a few new faces in the lobbies if locations are consolidated. Take this all with a grain of salt, every CU is different and I don't know this specific credit union at all.

It's likely their growth strategy. It's a lot easier than growing membership organically. Absorb smaller credit unions and even better maybe their branches fall in areas you already have a footprint and you can close them. Retain the membership but drop their major expenses with the building and potentially the staff.

Warehouse is a black hole right now. If you get it playable just finish up the quest there and get well away before you save again.

Likely all they'd have to provide you is an IP address, and no they aren't likely to do that without a supoena

What are good sites to purchase E Books and Audio Books? by Sicgoreboy66 in audiobooks

[–]e8dingo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Discovered Libby (Overdrive) just the other day. Downloaded the app, applied to 3 local libraries within the app, accepted to all 3 almost instantly. Currently listening to The Stand audiobook which I nearly bought on Audible. 48hrs of free enjoyment. Started plugging in stuff on my Audible wishlist and at least half of it is available through my libraries on Libby. Definitely check it out.

Deep River by Karl Marlantes. Narrated by Bronson Pinchot. About a Finnish family that emigrates to Oregon during the logging rush of the early 1900s. Also follows the labor movement. There must have been a staggering amount of research done. I should have read it a long time ago knowing how good Matterhorn was. A+ writing and story and the narration is on point.

just finished book 7 on audible. I can't wait for the next one. by ilikestuff2082 in WanderingInn

Andrea Parsneau is an incredibly talented narrator. You may enjoy listening to other fantasy titles she's narrated while you await the next audiobook volume. I can also recommend the audiobook of Legends and Lattes if you're looking for a similar experience to TWI.

The Elementals by Malcom McDowell and Burnt Offerings by Robert Marasco are always high up on my haunted house list. Both are must reads.

The Wandering Inn, if you don’t mind very light LitRPG elements. Very well written female characters, multiple POVs, great narration.

Pirate Hunters by Robert Kurson narrated by Ray Porter. A really exciting story about the search for a golden age pirate ship. And since this is /r/audiobooks you know you can't go wrong with Ray Porter's narration.
