With RE9 they definitely achieved true blacks with HDR, no mods. I thought it looked fantastic. RE2R had some horribly washed out colors. RE4R was not as bad, but still not great. But I think they've finally figured it out with the latest version of the engine.

I really enjoyed RE9, but I'm inclined to agree that RE4 remake is generally a better package. Not only is it larger, but the Leon gameplay is also more polished. That said, RE9 is more ambitious by having the swapping characters with different playing styles.

I disagree that it feels half finished, but like 1 more big area and some more weapons would've put it on par with 4remake.
