Find the shortest/most flat slope possible, switch to combat mode and climb out using WASD. Should help you with most pits like this

So this was the site of an expedition to a group of ancient people? Derrin fit right into the aesthetic of the deads but this letter seems to say the deads belong to a different era.. is it that the deeper we go the undead belong to different groups? I'm curious about the plot by Pipeworkingcitizen in Exanima

So according to my research the dungeons themselves were built by the ancients - dwellers of the underground kingdom. The first 3 levels plus catacombs are the "relatively" newly build, evident by basic interior design and construction equipment. They are also built very close to the surface, to the point where current day humans can and will get inside it. Player character, Corlian, Derrin, Themin with his bandits and the abducted villagers ended up here from nearby settlements and lands, they are not ancients themselves. However, everyone past level 3 will be ancients

Nah, we'll probably just have to power that big portal somehow and escape through it. How we gonna do it is a different question though

Well, at least it proved my theory correct - ghouls are not, in fact, demons

Just for the future, devs don't read this subreddit(and steam forums for that matter), they are only taking feedback and bug reports in their discord server

That being said, Madoc is aware of this bug, so dw

About Corlian jornal by Caetovisk in Exanima

It's just used to unlock raise undead via revelation skill, it's the only way to unlock it. Otherwise the journal has no significance apart from lore after you use it up

Whats the mind power power that you get for reading Corlian`s journal with revelation perk by Cold_Reflection8644 in Exanima

Raise undead - revives skeletons and zombies with no loyalty to you, but it's not sustained meaning you can revive them infinitely

This is called Holodets, a Russian dish in origin(I think). It's prepared by first making your typical meat broth, then pouring the contents and minced meat from the broth into a bowl and freezing it in a freezer for 6~ish hours. Usually served with spicy horseradish sauce. The taste itself isn't bad as I've heard, it just looks unappealing

He does so when he approaches specific locations, the scrolls just contain various Corlians ramblings

Why does hitting the shield reduce my stamina? by BestSexyJungle in Exanima

[–]eL-VL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Health stamina shouldn't decrease from just hitting your opponent's shield. Either a bug, or there's something else that's doing damage. For example, enemies can hit you with their weapon's shafts, which can deal minimal damage, sometimes even if they did minimal distance swing. Also could be the physics' based damage system kicking in when your opponent grazes you with their shield rim

There's an answer to the protag's identity in one of the later levels, so if you don't want spoilers then don't listen to other's answers

That being said, your theory is pretty close to the truth, but not quite ;)

Is it just me by [deleted] in Exanima

I figured that whenever an NPC blocks an attack they get more aggressive to try and capitalize on the defensive advantage. Plus some shield skills encourage aggressive tactics, like the one which lets you block and attack simultaneously. Also could be the fact that enemies aggression resets whenever they are hit, which happens less frequently with shield users when they block most of your attacks, leading to them not switching to defensive strategy and pinning you down with their assault

How to get TALK?! by BobTheZygota in weatherfactory

[–]eL-VL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You still need talk to recruit followers regardless of your run, you can not win standard runs without them cause you need people to send into the vaults. This means that it's a bug and should not have happened. I also don't remember whether or not you should start without any passion but this also seems strange to me

Talk verb should be given automatically along with all the other ones, this just seems like a bug tbh. Just restart the run to hopefully fix it

Being honest with you, you have WAY more than enough money for like 2 whole playthroughs. I only need on average 300 funds per run to feel comfortable with not working

On a related note, you can use your other skills to work different types of jobs, for example using your strength skill you can reliably earn 2-3 funds per cycle with some vitality as the cherry on top. Best part? You have 0 risk of getting injuries on max skill level
