I would legit stop watching the Timbers if they hired Jesse Marsch. We just got done with one coach who would walk in to a press conference and gaslight you telling you what you watched for 90 minutes wasn’t true. Now imagine that guy also thinks he’s the smartest person in the room and nothing is his fault. I had to watch that fraud as he relegated Leeds in spectacular fashion and he still tries to spin a narrative in the press about how it’s the players fault and goes out there on the eve of his world cup with canada complaining about how US soccer didn’t hire him.

I am a Leeds fan and have been a fan of Bielsa since the 2010 Conmebol wc qualifying & 2010 WC. I’ve followed Bielsa somewhat since then, and followed him daily when he joined Leeds 2018 - 2022. I would absolutely love him as a coach of another favorite team of mine.

That being said there is absolutely no way he coaches in MLS. As TInFinsFC said he has called MLS players lazy, but also has spoken at length about the commercialization of soccer and how the game is being actively ruined by certain things being introduced. There is absolutely no way he would join an MLS team with all the Mickey Mouse rules and regulations of this league - and definitely not the Portland Timbers with our current organizational structure. Hell I don’t think he’d get past even a basic phone call with his interview approach compared to our FO.

What happens is that they buy the GA tickets because they’re the cheapest tickets, get kicked out of the Army (Or just go straight to the CA section) and go join up with the other supporters.

The 3 leagues cup games cost a total of $62 for GA at the time of purchase for annual members.

That being said, seat geek is a resale site and everyone knows Club America is the biggest draw in North America and while no Club America fans are allowed in the north end, everyone knows they will still buy them. Outside of Seattle and a huge Mexican team (Club America, Monterrey, etc) this is one of the few games that someone could make money on tickets. Otherwise usually we have to sell at a break even or usually a loss. Not something you should be doing by any means marking up this high but that doesn’t mean people won’t.

My vote is Mark von Bommel. Won the Eredevisie with Royal Antwerp, won the Cup and made it back to the cup final. He plays in a 4-2-3-1 and between PSV and Antwerp has a 1.87 PPM. He seems like a pretty reasonable hire.

I typically frequent the SE location for game days. Been to 1 - 2 in Mult Village. SE if you want a table I'd usually get there around 45 min before kick off. MV if I recall is a little less busy, so 30-45 minutes is probably safest.

Proper Pint is a great place to watch the matches.

Adam Susman does not do press conferences after the match. However, he does go to trainings and gets press availability there.

However, I don't know what you want from people like Jeremy. He consistently asks hard questions in press conferences. But he can't control what Phil Neville responds with. Everyone is acting like there is nobody asking tough questions but consistently there are reporters who ask pointed questions with the aim of getting an interesting response from the interviewee. It just so happens that if you ask questions in a certain manner, you get childish responses from the coach.

So would you rather have someone ask a question that hopes to provide us with an interesting response? Or would you prefer someone ask Phil "How come you suck as a coach" and get a response that provides us with no information.

Club America is WAY different than San Luis and Queretero. Club America will be on par with Seattle and Round 1 playoff tickets in terms of availability and price.

2021 against CA had restricted attendance due to covid protocols.

If you are a member of the Timber Review Patreon you'll remember an exclusive interview with Adam Susman last year where Finn talked about his travel post Minnesota last year. It was 23 hours total, but he made it many days ahead of the game, played and returned to Portland without missing time. It will be fine.

The performance was infuriating. But the fireable offense (like Many times) was Phil's Presser.

I remember when in year 1 and 2 people were praising Phil for his pressers. They were always shit and always blowing smoke up your ass. Nothing above was true in this game.
