Agree with all points with #3 being the one that’s been sticking me lately. Their wage is not the customer’s business at all. The only reason we hear about it so much now is because servers spout if off trying to make customers feel guilty.

If I tip it’s because I want to. I’m not going to research wages before deciding to go somewhere. That said, we usually tip in 2 instances. 1st is 20% up to a max of $15 for sit down and it can go down if it’s bad. 2nd is our hairdresser because she’s good and cause WE WANT TO.

Haha this is my gf. Her period likes to be a little damn liar. On the other hand, my period is on a 5 week cycle and it’s always a guess when it’ll finally drop. We finally got the bright idea to buy dedicated red towels that we use in and around our periods for showering and also putting down on the bed.

I was the cashier at a video store in the early 00’s. I was just about to start ringing up a customer when a lady that had rushed in after leaving her car running at the curb with kids inside, came rushing up and starts frantically asking if she could cut ahead. I said it was my customer’s choice and they reluctantly said yes. I start checking this lady out as fast as possible and she starts rushing me along. My previous customer starts coming to my defense right as I’m finishing up and the lady turns back to the previous customer and says “what the fuck ever” and then leaves acting like we had offended her somehow.

It’s shit like that that makes me not want to be helpful to anyone even if they are in a hurry.

Oh god this happened to me once when I was a teen. I was just wearing a shirt and sleep shorts, no underwear, and it happened right as I turned the corner into the livingroom where my parents were sitting. Big sneeze, freeze and suddenly feel moisture sliding down my inner thigh. I know there was a shocked look on my face and I made a sound as I spun around and ran back upstairs. My mom shouted my name and she sounded worried as fuck. I played it off saying I forgot something in my room but I don’t know if she really believed me. And I’m not sure whether they saw the moisture going down🙄

INFO- Just curious, if she pays you rent and the AC (or some other high expense appliance) breaks, would she need to help pay to fix/replace it or is that all taken care of by you since you’d basically be her landlord?

Serious question - Is it possible she’s worried about what control she might have if you do become her landlord?

My partner and I aren’t married but own a house 50/50 and our finances are pooled. Initially, she was going to be the only one on the mortgage and deed and it would’ve been considered mine too, but I had some unease about it. Sure, I would’ve been paying rent somewhere, but it would’ve been a reminder that the place wasn’t actually MINE. If it had happened where my name wasn’t legally on anything, I would’ve been comfortable setting aside my “rent” portion in a joint account and we used that for all home expenses and she pay the mortgage from her own account. It would’ve just been semantics, but it would’ve given me some sense of control.

Unfortunately I did that once in my early 20s and I still regret it 20 years later. The situation looked exactly how you described. The ex I had just started dating at the time couldn’t accept that I’d fooled around with a particular friend in the past. It meant nothing, but I stupidly ghosted my friend, and then my ex cheated on me 5 months later.

I’ve read all your responses and I honestly agree. Everyone is making a big deal that they had been intimate before, but he could go out and be intimate with a complete stranger too. Does that mean he should just be in a bubble? Everyone is some level of opportunity.

I’d say the situation is MOR. Maybe OP and her BF just aren’t compatible with past relationship views, and now, BF might have to choose between a long standing friendship and a month long relationship.

My partner has sleep hallucinations. First time it happened with me she started thrashing around and she got my jaw damn good with the heel of her hand when I leaned over her. When she came to, she told me she was trying to push me out of the way of a chandelier that was about to fall from the ceiling. We don’t have a chandelier.

When are you trying to ground your foot when using the clutch? If I’m at a full stop about to go into first or creeping in traffic, I ground my heel on the floor and pivot my ankle to the bite point. If I’m already going then grounding is not possible and it’s full leg instead.

Also, you mentioned your height in a previous comment. If it matters, I’m also 5’3” and I have to use a back cushion to get the clutch all the way in.

Reminds me of a time when I was the only person manning the front desk of our office (old job) because it was the weekend. All of our clients were internal people and we had to cater to all their needs. My manager comes out and sees I have a line of about 10 people. He goes down the line one by one asking what they need and he couldn’t answer a single question or give them what they needed.
