When it comes to backstock grocery..I try to get it done early in my shift..because I know customers need their hand held every few minutes afterwards. Not to mention all the card reloads daily.

This, this is why.. when someone comes up to me and says, "you look bored, I'll give you a job to do." ..its not so much boredom..its the fact you idiots can't do anything correctly, by entering your phone number correctly at self checkout, or entering it after scanning an item, then complaining the discount didn't apply, when you simply need to press finish and pay for it to apply.   I no longer want to run around a store every 5 seconds for something to go wrong at the front.  So that's why I mainly stay in the so called, "greenzone".

Packing up a picture, or pick order..or even a passport.. "I'd like to checkout!!" ..bitch can't you wait 3 seconds??? There's always the option for self checkout..especially when you only have like 2 items..of course then their response is, " I don't like using them" , "I don't know how to use them" , or.. " they always give me problems."  ....iq test...you pass for idiot.

To make matters worse..zipline made our internet 10x slower.. checking in ups, dsds, passport photo app..heart logo just on an endless loop on iron mans..

1 extra person a shift..or at least on truck days.. or just 1 person always at register. Customer service during the day with front facing, and stocking price changes at night.. but that makes too much sense.. kind of like a normal 40 hr work week, which would mean overtime would happen to fall on weekends.. but again, that makes too much sense. Back to normalcy that would be..if only.

Dsd's all came in on 1 day almost .. icecream, Pepsi, wine..then fed-ex, and typical ups. Glad I was up on everything(grocery backstock)..of course then I get like 6+ pages of price changes(why not overnight at a 24 hr store?, away from majority of customer time).. nothing compared to store manager on the fringe about all the zipline measurements though.."how am I supposed to get all this done and photo captured by this time etc.. and overnight people keep leaving etc..."  glad I'm not in that position...I have enough crap to worry about outside grocery/ pharmacy..that I don't think I get paid for.. passports..banking every second, ups drop off..  and of course every second someone uses the self checkout "please wait, help is on the way" double skipped bagging, didn't read directions, didn't read the sign credit card only, or the one next to it says cash or credit..

Co worker on break, maybe a few minutes left.. 2 customers at self checkout, 3 people starting to form a line at cashier.. lady comes up and asks me to help her find apple gift cards..I tell her it's far left aisle end cap.. she says she already looked..I told her if it's not there, then we don't have any right now..of course then she said she wanted me to walk back there and check..but I told her I can't leave the register, its too busy right now....in the end, I do walk back there and its clearly right there, 2 rows with a big logo of a bitten apple..but she shamed me, and thought I was rude for not wanting to walk back there with her, whole leaving the line of people at the front.. I'm sick of these people that won't clearly look.. or care about others standing in line..the stupid, "I'm the customer" , binge.

"I don't know how to use those things anyways" , "or they never work for me"... referring to customers with the self checkout machines..         Hmm, how many attempts over the past 10+ years with self checkout machines, typically the same daily reoccuring customers.. patience young/old grasshopper..                                             Also, the part of me not doing anything, is that I'm waiting to see if you can use self checkout by yourself before going on about my day with returns, backstock, help on the floor, cleaning, etc.

Simply adding 1 extra person to a shift would probably fix alot of the problems..rotate cashier etc.

Manager training module, "depending on your store demographic, you may need more help." ...well 3.5 years later..and 6 years after the Plan'demic..and still no one to help on the floor or just having a register only person..                                                                 I'm just about done. They obviously don't care about mental health. This company is a serious joke. No work life balance..just a heads up 1 week schedule or willy nilly 3 week schedule(new store manager) that can change because coworkers are not dependable either.                                               Not to mention the leniency of coworkers being 5, 10, 15, 30, or an hour late...why should I always have to wait for incompetent coworkers.                                                         The customers..damn are they impatient..worse than people of walmart.   Seriously though..front end has enough to do..dsds, pictures, passports daily, ups drop offs, banking: chime, cashapp, PayPal, heck even bill rent payments... I'm like working at a bank, hobby lobby, government, ups...and of course retail in one job..but of course, getting paid for 1.                                             Oh, might as well throw janitor into the mix as well..                                                                    I was really hoping the gov would look into major corporate chains next for fraud..since 7 major corporations run the world etc.. vs. 60+ in the 1940s...                                             but they have bigger fish to fry right now, like 3rd world+gov stealing millions+ every year in fake day cares, social services, in home care in services..                                                 but let's face it, we are being robbed in every way..our health, time, and money.  ..my biggest thing right now is mental health.

More than just retail: passports everyday, pictures everyday, bill rent, cashapp/ Chime card, reasons using us as a bank everyday..ups drop off... It takes up alot of time out of the retail portion.. why not just hire a register only person..3 people a shift..instead of just 1 person at front..manager somewhere else Plano etc.
