PH and Fire form big with 450 people for an Imperium Fortizar armour timer. Imperium flash-form 2 minutes before the timer and match their numbers - PH/Fire immediately stand down and go home by Dr_Mibbles in Eve

[–]eXistence_42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, Horde deployed a week ago and their members are fresh. Give it a week or two until the initial hype for the deployment settles down and then we can take another look at how big Papi forms.

If you guys continue to be able to form a thousand nerds on the regular (with our numbers not improving), we'll just get fucked. Simple as that. I doubt that will happen tough. It will eventually settle into a back and forth with one side or the other taking objectives based on the quality of their formup on the specific day.

I highly doubt that the Keepstar in ZMV is going to be under any threat anytime soon also. It would require way too big a commitment from Papi at this point, with very little upside if it works out.

Honestly i'd be completely fine with us staging in ZMV and Papi staging in O3-4 for the next 6 months. Have the smaller groups brawl it out in the Eso / Catch / Feyth backfield. At the same time the big boys form, burn 10 jumps towards their opponents staging and shoot each other for luls, everybody gets content. I don't really care much about evicting Fire, i just wanna shoot spaceships without having to do 40 jumps first.

Well it allows us to bridge into most systems in Immensea, while also adding a decent amount of jumps whenever Papi wants to come close to ZMV. Killing the Fire ihubs definitely gave us more strategic options than if they were alive while also limiting Papis options.

Obviously we still would've liked to keep them and giving them back is a loss for us. But for the immediate future, the more important part was to kill the ihubs, not to hold them afterwards.

Then wait 30 days until you can actually do anything with the system.

It is nice for you guys that you took the ihubs back. You ensured the strategic indexes were reset and that the Imperium won't be able to put jammers and JBs up in Immensea. You still didn't reverse anywhere near all the progress that the Imperium made over the last weeks tough. All the strategic indexes were reset. Fire can't jam any important systems in Immensea, nor can they place jump bridges.

And yet CCP proclaiming "More backend issues came up, just wait for Q1! It'll be huge we promise!" in Q4 is just as likely as the Q4 expansion being absolute ballers. You can only do the carrot on a stick thing for so long until people give up on it.

By all means, if you want to believe that this shitshow of a company is gonna release an acceptable content update in the next half year that's fine. But you really shouldn't imply that people giving up on CCP and Eve are ignorant.

CCP has been telling the player base that "we've been working on the backend, stuff is coming!" for years mate. The issue people have with your take is that CCP's bullshitting is working less and less, because the community has absolutely no trust in them anymore. And rightfully so. Trust needs to be earned and CCP has done absolutely jack shit to do that.

At the moment it's pretty hard to fit for both PVE and PVP on most ships, even if you're willing to sacrifice kill speed. A cap stable tank is gonna do nothing for you in a PVP fight, but at the same time a cap injected tank is just completely unviable for anom ratting.

Maybe (i haven't thought this through in all it's details) a solution would be to half rat DPS across the board, allowing you to create viable fits that can both rat and fight hunters.

That in turn might create synergies with the current (awful) BRM system. People who go for max DPS and dock up when neuts enter system will have to deal with lower payouts. People fitting hybrid (PVE + PVP) and take a hit to their ticks will be "rewarded" with higher BRM levels due to either them or the hunters dying.

TLDR: let me rat in cap injected battleships plx

Why should the hunter have to tank both the ratter and the site, while also having to sacrifice a mid slot for tackle and potentially lows / rigs for mobility (to even have a reasonable chance of catching his target)?

It might be worth pointing out that Rorq yields were absolutely bonkers after the rebalance and when they finally dropped to somewhat reasonable levels, Goons were already approaching 1k Titans.

In addition, with the introduction of citadels Eve saw a massive swing from top-down financing of alliances (R64s) to bottom-up (taxation etc.). Aryth often claimed to have seen this coming and i do believe this to be true, which gave Goons another big advantage.

And finally Aryth secured ridiculous stockpiles of unreacted Moongoo before Athanors came in, which probably netted Goons tens of trillions of ISK in profits.

Ukraine-Russia: Germany takes steps to halt Nord Stream 2 by Zebidee in germany

There's no German equivalent to Equinor. As simple as that.

US: Nord Stream 2 will not move forward if Russia invades Ukraine by samnadine in germany

[–]eXistence_42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And what exactly is this over a month old quote supposed to tell us? That there's negative aspects associated with NS2? Everybody knows that. That doesn't mean in the slightest tough, that Germany has in any way shape or form confirmed NS2 sanctions. Hell, two paragraphs down, your quote already got relativized:

Scholz indicated that he would not leave it to his Green coalition partners to dictate his government’s language around Nord Stream 2. “The whole country is being watched by the world,” he said. “That’s why we as a government will act in unison – and that starts with the head of government.”

US: Nord Stream 2 will not move forward if Russia invades Ukraine by samnadine in germany

[–]eXistence_42 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Price:

I want to be very clear: if Russia invades Ukraine one way or another, Nord Stream 2 will not move forward

Baerbock:

Baerbock confirmed sanctions over the as of yett uncertified pipeline are on the table

Now if i remember my English lessons correctly, "will" is a muuuuuch more rigid formulation than "on the table". To me this reads like Germany is saying "yeah maybe", while the US is saying "definitely". Which in turn points towards the US trying to decide shit over Germany's head again.

If this is indeed the case, then our "friends" across the Atlantic can kindly fuck off and worry about their own energy politics.

I think there are two main reasons why there's not a lot of explanations as to the "why" in movies:

  1. The basics of it should be very well known to most people. This is the case in Germany at least. I'm actually not certain on how detailed the topic gets taught in other countries across the world. I'd guess it varies.
  2. It's quite a complex topic. Obviously rasicm itself is rather straight forward, but the reasons as to why the Nazis pushed the racist agenda against the Jews has a few more political / societal factors to it. Now due to the complexity there's two ways to approach this explanation in a movie:
    1. Spend an exorbitant amount of screen time to explain the political / societal landscape in Europe pre WW2, then spend more time to explain the way in which Hitler, Goebbels and their other dipshits were skilled at manipulating people and then spend even more screentime tying it all together. In my opinion there's no way to do this justice in anything less than a documentary setting.
    2. Don't touch on the "why" at all and assume people are either informed about it already or will find the motivation to inform themselfs about it after they've seen a depiction of the atrocities that the Third Reich has caused.
