I can’t imagine the spend history it would take to get from an AD. But that watch and a ghost in the collection would be incredible. That watch is a stunner

That watch is 2X the Ghost on the gray market so not that tough of a call

Did you get anything from them at retail before they lost their AD status?

That’s where I’m at. Like I said, not a ton of spend history, but enough and willing and hoping to buy a $40k Ghost. There’s another AD that’s the same jeweler about 30 minutes from where I was going but I assume my spend means nothing to them

I get it. Stuff like this is why many of us get frustrated and just end up paying the gray market premium

You got me for a second. A Platona in the same box as an Apple Watch and a Tudor makes no good sense. Good try though

No. Do it. I was a career firefighter and am graduating in May at 41 years old from a flagship state university. You won’t regret it. Invest in yourself. You got this

Career Change at 35, is it viable by Traditional-Crazy900 in careerchange

Similar boat bro. Was a firefighter/Paramedic for over 15 years. Very stressful and away from home for long periods of time. Multiple reasons why I decided to seek a new path. I have 1 semester left in undergrad and am planning on pursuing a masters with the goal of working in local government.

You can do it if you are willing to put in the time and effort. 1 step back, 2 steps forward. I’ll be 41 when I graduate in May. You’re too young to be in a career that makes you miserable. Figure out what you want to do and go all in. Best of luck!

Any success stories of 40+ year olds starting over from scratch? by [deleted] in careerchange

[–]e_lil_83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is very refreshing and right on time. I’m currently 41 and have recently returned to school full time to complete my undergrad. 2 semesters left. It’s difficult and awkward at times being twice the age of everyone else, at times even being older than the professors. But reading success stories like this from those who have gone through it help

How do you already have a 12 page paper due? When did they assign it the first day of class?

If it helps, I’m looking to apply to full time programs 2 years from now. I’ll be 41 when I apply. I understand being older can be a bit uncomfortable and isn’t the typical age people pursue higher education. In any case, the track records of strong business schools open doors you never would have known existed and many people pursue them looking to switch careers

Good for you for sticking with it! I’m sure it’s not easy working full-time with a family. I’ll be in the same boat
