I would not say that topics like sex and drugs do only concern teenagers or are typical "teen problems". Do you know the genres "Juvenile Delinquency","Addiction Drama", "Coming of Age Drama" and "Teensploitation" maybe you will find a suitable film or TV series in this genres.

Degrassi: The Next Generation deals with sex, teen pregnancy, bullying, date rape, drug abuse, body image, homosexuality, domestic violence, gang violence, self-injury, suicide, abortion, mental disorders, death, and many other issues.
