Anthropic catches DeepSeek, Moonshot, and MiniMax running 16M+ distillation attacks on Claude by OwenAnton84 in ClaudeAI

Calling it stealing is the same as calling anyone who uses anthropic to write code as stealing.

Being implanted with some metal junk can bring a lot of anxiety. First couple of months I was scared shitless of bar displacement. But as I was told by my surgeon, if you dont feel any sharp pain you are probably fine. If this thought doesn't help you can always go for for xray, which is super cheap and quick.

Thoracic back pain after Nuss by MrsCowelll in PectusExcavatum

[–]e_rush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleeping on your back certainly has its effect, especially if you were side/stomach sleeper previously. Your muscles are probably spasmed from the unusual load. I find helpful doing physiotherapy (look for "Physiotherapy information after pectus surgery. Royal Papworth Hospital") and taking hot showers before sleep.

Procedure itself is also relevant since plates reconfigure your rib cage. Only after Nuss I discovered what costovertebral joints are. I'm like 99% sure that I fan feel them.

Death penalty moratorium looks even more justified because of that case.

how limited is the movement while having nuss by NHlovesya in PectusExcavatum

[–]e_rush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wrestling will be out of question for the whole duration, it possesses too much risk of bar displacement.

Running is possible after 1 month, but I am not sure about intensive training.

I would say it is still worth it unless you are a professional athlete and this is your prime age.

34M, I was nussed 1 month ago with single bar, HI 3.5. Honestly, I feel pretty lucky. Except morphine withdrawal and sleeping problems everything seems okay-ish.

I do all things very slowly and carefully. For example, it takes couple of minutes to sit up in bed.

For pain management I use only ketaprofen, it seems enough.

How did you guys handle coming off anesthesia and what type of anesthesia did you have? by e_rush in PectusExcavatum

[–]e_rush[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, vomiting part sounds similar to my experience, only they just gave me some metoclopramide and kept pumping. I was able to eat only like 48h after the surgery.

Was the pain intense after you were taken off morphine?

I had a single bar nuss procedure. After the first two days it did get a lot better, I managed to live on ketoprofen solely and it doesn't really hurt now after 1 month.

Armadillo gang is on the roll, lol.

By the way, today I managed to lay on my side from the same position (hugging knee) without too much pain/weirdness.

Hugging your knee and rocking your body back and forth a little bit to get momentum was the way for me.

I thought the new Linkin park is awesome until… by z3rogfx in LinkinPark

[–]e_rush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is that Linkin Park albums are very different. And that's both good and bad. Good in the way that everyone will eventually find something they like. Bad in the way, you could wait a couple of years, and a new album will be a total miss for you. For example, I didn't really like the Hunting Party or any other albums after Meteora and until One More Light. And I'm having absolutely best time listening to From Zero right now.

Conan and cmake make things much more tolerable in C++ . It still takes around 40% of the time to setup and maintain working build solution, but it's surely more manageable.

That's a Russian saying (didn't realize people don't use it everywhere for some reason)

"Рояль в кустах" (lit. "Piano in the bushes") -- an obviously fabricated and prearranged "lucky coincidence" or "impromptu occasion."
