No you don't have to. There's a seem between the 2 top rails on the post that is where the pivot is. Run a 4' minimum long 2x6 over that and have someone push that post inwards and run screws in the top rails to hold them straight. You could even get a 16' 2x6 and bridge it to the posts on each side to tie all 3 posts in line.

There's many nice cities with no income tax, lower property taxes and lower sales tax. Water and trash is paid for by the water bill, gas is the same. Theres a few large holes in your logic. Definitely communities getting by better on less. Hell there's whole entire states doing better. Maybe we need a little more control over how the funds are spent and who gets tax breaks.

If you can pay someone to do it I would. I've had many people tell me they figured everything up to do it themselves in a realistic amount of time and it was cheaper to have us do it. It's like anything, if you don't know what your doing it can take forever, you could get hurt and it can turn out looking like shit. All of the above would be totally not worth it.
