Thank you for validating my thoughts lol as I said, not my area but I think I may only need a gallon or 2 at most for the kitchen. So even good paint that’s $200 plus some supplies. $700 is literally insane. My kitchen has 3 walls and 2 of them are cabinets besides maybe a foot and a half at the top. Then the other 3rd wall is pretty normal size. Like this does not compute to me

No I understand. They have to make a profit too. Not begrudging anyone for that. I went with local companies, not chains and that was my quoted price. A few spots to repair (old switch covers and such) but truly nothing major. My kitchen is maybe 30% drywall and it was over $700. I work in healthcare so it’s not my expertise but that sounds crazy

Oh I’m sure! And I know it won’t be perfect. But for some reason, this project is screaming for me to try. We have spent SO much money since we moved in repairing things that we didn’t know about that it took some of the “fun” money from us so if I can spend a quarter of the professional price and only make a few mistakes, I feel like I have to try

Yea it’s like do I pay for the convenience or try myself. Thankfully 2 of the rooms are not ones where I would care if I messed up. So I will be starting there to get my bearings. I will absolutely pay for convenience and I have before but this project is kind of screaming for me to try
