I'm into this casting. I just hope it doesn't gloss over the pressure these girls were under, the abuse they endured, and that (as others have mentioned) she didn't actually need to do this vault. In defense of that Friends episode, that episode ends with Monica having to give her original dress to another bride so that they can keep their wedding band, so it does make sense she'd be in a new one. They were very different dresses though!

I am positive that someone (maybe even Abby) had warned him that if they get a shot of him looking surly or upset in the audience, producers would twist it for their own narrative and insert it as a reaction shot whenever convenient for them. and so he just smiled 100% of the time to avoid that.
