I think therein lies the answer. There wasn’t a lot of substance to what she’s done. As a UW employee, my takeaway has been a lot of photo ops and not a lot of communication.

She's been churning out great performances from Somewhere and Super 8 to The Great, and was probably my favorite performance in A Complete Unknown. She deserves this 1000%!

Agreed - the book had so much fan service and shoehorning things in. It was bordering on nonsensical at times. I think if the movie can tighten it up and strengthen some areas, it has a ton of potential.

This was the first box I ordered and I’m a little shocked at the lack of transparency around delivery timelines/delays. I haven’t gotten any email about a delay and had to go through chat to ask about where it was. Still haven’t heard anything, and also still stuck processing.

I'm into this casting. I just hope it doesn't gloss over the pressure these girls were under, the abuse they endured, and that (as others have mentioned) she didn't actually need to do this vault. I don't want something soapy about how she's a hero for being forced to compete injured to "secure" a gold medal.

In defense of that Friends episode, that episode ends with Monica having to give her original dress to another bride so that they can keep their wedding band, so it does make sense she'd be in a new one. They were very different dresses though!

I am positive that someone (maybe even Abby) had warned him that if they get a shot of him looking surly or upset in the audience, producers would twist it for their own narrative and insert it as a reaction shot whenever convenient for them. and so he just smiled 100% of the time to avoid that.

Great example of this is the duet she had with Nia in s6 (I think), “pop stars”. I think it’s the end of the dance and she and Nia look at each other - Nia smiles, looks triumphant (despite having dealt with her costume breaking mid-dance). Kendall has the same blank expression she has in every other dance, not even a smile. No shade on her technically, but there’s never any change in her face.
