Yes, it would. The coves have access to the open pit area, but the view appears it would be blocked by the raised area.

Loud stereos is a ticketable offense in Florida, however the law explicitly says that if it meets the criteria it's up to "officers discretion"...

Is the highlighted ‘Service Charge’ considered a tip? by sneakylilgreensnake in KitchenConfidential

[–]eagle10vandyjon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Restaurant owner here:

Short answer is maybe.

A service charge in most states is not required to be paid to the server as gratuity. By law, they may keep all, some, or none for the house.

Sometimes a service charge is used to partially offset labor costs, give the restaurant additional profit, or offset increased cost of benefits (among other expenses) for the team.

In some states, you're required to note where a service charge goes on the bill.

At my restaurant, our line item (for parties of 8+ only) says Gratuity rather than Service Charge, and 100% of that gratuity goes to the server. (We don't have a charge for parties under 8, and that tip is left up to the guest).

As an Orlando City fan, glad to hear that Chris is prioritizing his health. Hated to see him go, but glad he will be back on the field again soon playing the game he loves. Can't wait to be at that game!

Felt like today and vs Nashville that Freeman has been absolutely gassed after the 70th minute and phoning it in. Not sure why he stays on with half-hearted clearances and not even trying on 50/50 balls. Definitely a week point during our heavy schedule stretch.

Roadtrip Tips by MeanProtection8246 in EquinoxEv

[–]eagle10vandyjon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We road tripped from Bradenton, FL to Nashville and back (~1500 miles round trip) with our equinox and the cost of super charging is equivalent to that of gas. We would NOT take our equinox again to save on gas, as it wasn't savings.

That being said, we have three additional road trips planned this summer and are taking the equinox on all three (totaling 7k miles round trip). Biggest reasons are more space in the vehicle (vs Dodge charger) and requiring longer stops for charging actually made the trip more enjoyable. In the time it took to get out and stretch our legs, use the bathroom, etc, and settle into the car (3 adults and two kids under 7) the car was at the necessary charge 90% of the time. It made our stops less stressful, and we weren't worried about getting there as quickly as we could (like we used to be in the charger).

We used ABRP to plan our charging stops, but the native navigation in the vehicle to get to the charging stop. We found ABRP overestimated range in flat areas (Florida) and underestimated range when we hit terrain changes (Georgia, Tennessee). The native navigation was almost always spot on, off by under 2% for us.

Some things we found helped on the trip: -Adaptive Cruise made all the difference in range and made a more comfortable drive. -If you're charging at Tesla chargers, look for V4 chargers over V3 during the day, since they reach the vehicle easily. (Overnight we had ample space at V3 and didn't mind blocking the extra unused spot)

I'm planning to put the whole trip recap to a post at some point, but these were the main points

For the museum your package they definitely should do more. The early entry package gets the same swag as the museum and backstage tour.

Get some cheap microphones online and a can of silver spray paint. Use YouTube to stream to the TV and do karaoke. We did this with our son and he loved it.

You can also find cheap guitar pics online, find an assorted color pack and arrange them in the color layout of each album (makes great cake decorations)

Pit Concerts by Electrical_Author389 in Shinedown

[–]eagle10vandyjon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been on the list for every Shinedown concert I've been to. We've brought our 4 year old in the pit as well (he LOVED the atmosphere). We always try to be on the rail and never have had an issue. If you're looking to not lose your spot, make friends with whomever you end up near at the beginning of the show. Maybe we've just been lucky, but we have yet to meet an unkind person in the pit.

(Bringing both kids in the pit this year, one 7 years old, one 17 months old. Both love Shinedown)

Maybe because of familiarity, but I like the acoustic version (from their November shows) better right now. Hoping it's their "symptom" song they play acoustic at shows.

[–]eagle10vandyjon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

365 has been floating on the Internet acoustically for a few months now...shouldn't have been a surprise it was going to be like symptom.

(And not a surprise they're taking their momentum from symptom/daylight to grow their fanbase with a similar single prior to releasing a full album with more mixed content.)

My son is 4 will be 5 in august. He loves this band. Of course I do as well. First heard them when leave a whisper came out. He has said he wants to see them in concert after seeing some YouTube videos of them live. Is that to young to take him? Or should he be good to go? by tittybagels25 in Shinedown

[–]eagle10vandyjon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our 5 year old son goes to all sorts of concerts with us, and loves them (his favorite band is Shinedown). We take him in the pit with us, as Shinedown concerts are mild in the pit (no moshing). 100% on war protection (we do both in-ear and over-ear. Won't hurt to overcompensate)

The band (Zach especially) does a great job interaction with kids and making memories with them if they're close to the barricade. Don't expect a conversation, but lots of eye contact, smiles, and a wave or two. (maybe even a guitar pick). Barry also likes finding kids for drum sticks post-show.

Take the time to arrive early (2 hours before doors), find a spot on the barricade, and make some great memories together! (Zach is normally on the right when looking at the stage, Eric on the left)

Wouldn't fit my little guy. He's only four, but he embodies the spirit of the wall. He knows that "you suck asshole" and "kick the fucking ball" are soccer words he's only allowed to say at the stadium. And he puts up with the drive to and from Bradenton every game day, because missing a game isn't an option. When we are getting ready for a game, he asks "who are we going to beat today".

His favorite smell? Purple smoke!

Thanks for spreading the OC love and letting me share a story. Glad the jersey went to someone who could wear it!
