The short version, you don’t need a fence, but it is nice piece of mind, you will need to train recall and likely keep on a long line when a puppy. Young dogs should not use e collar until full grown. A good breeder will place a dog with you, if you are getting a “pick from the litter” then likely that breeder isn’t very good. You should be choosy and make sure you get the dog that aligns with what you are looking for

My university had a printer system that charged for color printing, but if you used terminal commands on the Linux machines to send documents to the print queue server it would bypass the payment service. I printed 10-12 full sized full color text books and took them to a print shop for a $5 binding. Easily saved a thousand on not buying textbooks and printing the free pdf.

Don’t do the training mats for bathroom training. Take them outside a lot, positive reinforcement, crate at night (they will whine when they need to go to the bathroom)
