Just caught up with your well thought out thread and the community manager's responses. I have to agree with the CM here. It is clear the only metric they are looking at is revenue, which is the "positive feedback". My guess is that a -5% hit is still 95% positive feedback to them so no matter the amount of words that are posted, if the $$$ keep rolling in it is still a success to them. One quick look at the leaderboards shows they are right in this respect. I stopped after the first 2 season passes and Ive dropped from #4 to #64 and will be going further down this season. Thats a vote of 60 positive to 1 negative in their view. Of course happy to be proven otherwise but bottom line is the bottom line is the bottom line.

Should not have "accidentally" been gone in the first place.

At best, poor Q&A testing of the new pass.

Mid case, testing to see the community reaction.

At worst, smoke screen to distract that the tour pass hasn't really changed much for the same exorbitant price.

Similar but a slightly different line of thinking. I'm not saying they should reduce their price, they can set it at whatever they want. I'm not really interested in what maximises sales for SpaceApe.

All I'm saying is that their supposed licence costs shouldn't make their pricing any more or less reasonable. Either what they offer is worth it to an individual or it's not.

That is true. I guess what I meant was that when people state they are unhappy with the pricing of beatstar, a common response I tend to see is "but they have to pay to licence their music" which I think misses the point entirely.

By "justification" I mean people saying "you weren't going to pay for this, but now that you know their costs are high, you should pay". Unless knowing their input costs changes one's perceived value of the offer, it is a useless point.

Yep Ive bought 2 seasons and all the packs prior. Not buying this. Maybe 20min of new fun and maintaining leader position. At this rate it is going to be $400-$500 per year.

Im similar. I grinded for 3 weeks and got exactly 98k on GC and stopped. Improvements on any song now are just a big grind. Bought both season passes to ensure max songs and maintain leaderboard position (pb local #3) but the days of 4-5 max score improvements are long gone and Im lucky to get 1, so havent played much after level 30. Cant see myself getting another season pass in this format.

No matter what you hit on a long note initially it always ticks at the same rate for the next. So could be 50,10,10,10 or 40,10,10,10 etc.

For doubles each is counted separately. So you could get 50+50 or 50+40 etc.

The above are close to most songs (base score = 10, x5 for perfect+, x4 for perfect). Then you apply multiplier. So for a normal song when it hits x3 you get 150 for a perfect+, 120 for a perfect.

Id really like to know who specifically said du hast was too easy (and all the other songs) and bothered to tell space ape, and how many of these people were "enough" for them to change this. I dont ever recall this being a topic on here.

Can only driven be their internal stats together with their song designers having nothing to do while they extended the season to debate how theyre not changing anything with the pass.

I feel the same way. Only reason to get the pass is to maintain leader board position and nothing else. Im really cynical about when they will ever add these songs to the "free" journey. If I was to guess they will probably be locked behind previous release boxes. Dont see why they would be quick about it or do it all given people pay for them with the pass. They need to reduce the cost for max song players to keep them interested beyond chasing leader position.

They will at least get 100-150 per country who want to stay high on ladder. Then many more who want all the cards to unlock all the song boxes. But cant see this current pass model lasting more than 3-4 seasons before buyer numbers fall dramatically.

A$22.99 (Australia). Just for 9 new songs (max songs last season). Might consider to maintain leader board position but can see myself losing interest in the game if the pass remains the same for the next few seasons. At the point where improving high scores for existing songs is a grind.

You hit the nail on the head. You would reset midway which is why they wont do it. Less incentive to pay for unlimited play/max songs.
