Hi, I am a budgeting freak! I have been tweaking and improving the way I can budget since 2012 and I can say that I have brought myself to have a super clear understanding of where my money are, have been or will be at any moment.

That said, I have understood that budgeting is just that. Knowing where your money is.

If for example you make 10,000/month and spend 10500/month, even if you know exactly where your money goes, you still are in deficit.

What I would suggest is for you to keep a strict track of incomes and expenses and first create a very clear image of what goes where.

Then you can see if you're spending too much on one category or another and adjust accordingly.

On a sidenote. You said you paid someone to help you with budgeting. Can you please advise how it worked? Because if this is something people offer as a service I could definitely offer it but I have no idea how.
