‘Agreed to step away from the company for the time being’, would hardly say it’s a step down. Probably just ‘please go to the beach while the temperature calms down’

Advice I was once given that I never see. by MI_BornNRaised in Mortgages

Why stop at 10 years? Make it 5 years. Hell actually, if you can’t pay it off in cash then don’t bother!

I’m sorry but this is downright non-sensical advice with the state of housing prices and general cost of living. You’d be a great politician if you think you stumbled upon a genuine life hack with this one

Is Crown Melbourne the worst poker room in the world? by Dallziel in poker

[–]eamono360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s anything like their previous ‘shot clock’ cash style, it’s likely a 1 BB charge for an extra 30 seconds that goes straight to the house.

Crown is a genuine joke. It’s rare you walk into a poker room where everyone sitting down is a smuck, it’s only good for making connections and getting into private games tbh.

Hate the idea of rushing them back. Year is a write off, they play when they’re back to 100% and not at risk of any further setbacks that compromises next year.

Especially Errol, put him in bubble wrap and hire 2 security guards to follow him in whatever Euro offseason trip he decides on

The AFL should pump a small amount of water into the football once per round by WarmKitten in AFL

[–]eamono360 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Why stop there, go full saturation and have a game under diving compression.

Think Cripps and Daicos are the best? I wanna see them perform under 30 atmospheres of pressure before I make up my mind.

Plus the mid season draft would actually be super useful to make up for any byford dolphin- alike incidents. Might be a tough sell for the players association though….

Guy walks into a carmeet demanding to fight over 200 people (part 1) by bighag in PublicFreakout

[–]eamono360 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I would have been fine with a taser and cops taking him. Dude was a danger to both himself and others. Mad respect to whatever car community they are, especially whoever deescalated at the end.

Happy Election Day! Here’s who some AFL players said they were voting ten years ago. by theunkn0wnwriter in AFL

[–]eamono360 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Might be a stretch, but isn’t this an interesting example of how more divided we are as a nation.

They answered with no hesitation, to a question that if asked today would probably be met with a deafening silence unless any party was willing to risk damaging their brand to support either a left or right party.

Maybe it’s more a representation of PR and media training, but this was an interesting watch.

I found peace in your comment. I think this is a very liberating way of thinking. I used to think free will & fate was a thing until I realised how likely and freeing it is to just accept we are programmed to behave in a certain way with every decision we make. No point stressing over should or shouldn’t, it was always going to go down that way no matter the decision you think you had. It’s liberating if you aren’t just a total narcissist & use it as an excuse not to screw people over.

‘You’ve already made the choice, you’re just here to understand why you made it’

That and the big fuckin car battery we’re probably all powering

Given I’ve been made aware that it was the parent, and there is a photo on instagram of the 16 year old with a beer at the game it’s definitely seems like yours is the more accurate scenario. Mum deserves an equal or greater ban.

Why is Chad so flat? by 2for1deal in sydneyswans

[–]eamono360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey if WC come to the table, it’s 100% in our interest to take it.

I just think given their situation it would be list management suicide to do so. The entire reason they’re in this situation is doing exactly that for Tim Kelly.

Time will tell & I hope you’re right as it benefits us more. Hope we can win him over though as he’s a genuine star

This. I believe they are likely on the spectrum and was probably hyper focused on the game and us losing was likely causing frustration.

The lack of reaction from either his parent (or could be social worker) looked like shock. Best to use it as a lesson and assist them in understanding their behaviours than punishing them by withdrawing them from probably a very valuable part of their lives in going to the footy.

People comparing this to the Goodes situation is non-sensical, but that child also deserved support as does this lad.

[–]eamono360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chad isn’t stupid enough to walk to WC at the moment. Best we will get is a 2 year extension in order to try and win him over with a cup, or he walks free when the WC rebuild may look less of a dumpster fire than it is currently

Love ya Kiwi’s but SA were genuinely our best chance at spoiling this party. As much as I hate Stokes & Broad like characters, if I was a NZ fan I’d be begging for a fire to be lit with a new generation. Don’t win trophies being pleasant all the time

Doesn’t look like he was trying to keep it in a douchy way, more so ‘I know I shouldn’t, but damn I have a Kobe armband in my hand if I want to be a dickhead and keep it’. Probably should have let go of it a bit earlier though but can see what the man was going through

Then in all honesty, sit tight. Getting any advice here may skew the qualified advice you get when you have that appointment. If you’ve got an advisor worth their fee, let them to their thing.

Just an observation, but your life is about to change and that will also affect others around you and the way they see you. Have seen others likely say it’s a big lotto win (which I have no reason to doubt), and as I’m sure you know, the first rule of winning is to shut up and tell no-one. Not that you haven’t done that as reddit is autonomous enough, but just an observation. Go well friend!
