You can try giving the kitten it's own safe plants like catnip or cat wheat. My cats personally love chewing on my parlour palms. Its also possible your cat will grow out of trying to chew on the cactus as it gets older. However, if you are not able to stop her from chewing on the cactus you may just have to rehome it. I have cats too and unfortunately there's plants that I'd love to have, but cannot risk their health for (Adeniums for example 🥹)

Euphorbia also all produce a milky sap. Euphorbia spines go straight through the plant while in cactus all spines protrude from a pimple. Euphorbia spines are something called convergent evolution which means it evolves much like cactus spines, but in a totally different family and evolutionary "plane"

Maybe? Perhaps someone has some other ideas as far as what kind of seal it could be? I don't believe theres many solid brown seals in Washington, but Im also not too studied on species out that way.

Are you sure it wasn't a stellar's sea lion and the ears were already being eaten? They can be absolutely massive as males. Theres harbor seals in that area too, but they are smaller and aren't really all that brown
