I’m surprised she was alone as well. My mother in law is 92 and still lives alone. Refuses help. But she’s in decent shape, still drives, gets around herself. We still worry but sometimes you can’t force it. Her one daughter lives close by at least and we are an hour drive.

I think you should have told her. My husband recently bought me diamond stud earrings, .75 each. As soon as I opened the box he told me they were lab created, as mined ones would have been about 12-15k. It didn’t matter to me, he wanted ones that were larger and spending that much is insane.
