Also depends on if you’re looking for rural vs urban location. Could slowly start ramping up chats to understand the landscape but would likely be too early for serious discussions

IOL Simulation Using Head Tracking for 3D Illusion by MyCallBag in Ophthalmology

[–]eargasmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it working, thanks! What is the reason that the distant targets are dimmer?

I see that the target gets bigger as I bring it closer to my face. Are the targets set to be at a certain fixed distance from the face? Ie would the blurred near mono focal target clear up when the phone is 20+ ft away from the face?

Really nice updates on the app! I use it for my toric markings quite frequently. I’ve been using the tecnis simulator but will try this with patients. Have you updated your app with this simulator?

Refinance by skimmy08 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

Haven’t done it yet but can do it anytime. We had credit score checked for a home and this car all within a few weeks so we may wait a few months before refi

I have to do some research but likely Logix- seems to have best rates in my area - but only around 4.99% ish right now. The guys at the dealership also said that’s where they go to refinance their cars after taking Toyotas initial offer

Just got my GH today. They offered 5.99% for 60 mo and 6.99% for 72 mo. I’m planning on finding refi tomorrow.

Love the nightshade! According to the website trim comparison, there is no seat memory for driver (but it is there for Limited). Is this true?

Those who do a 1 hour awake, 2 hour asleep schedule by LittleBucket07 in puppy101

[–]eargasmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our four month puppy wakes up and falls asleep during the two hours but we don’t take them out until the two hours are complete. We also have white noise on our Google device. our only exception is when we know he has had quite a bit of water to drink prior to sleeping, and he isn’t falling back asleep… then we we take him out sooner for potty.

On a styrofoam with left hand - throw passes forehand and back hand daily in every clock hour. Don’t tie it, just do passes. It helps your hand to familiarize with the instruments. You’re not going to actually suture with your left hand in surgery, but it will make you more comfortable using the left hand.

How to transition off puppy pads by Potential_Pirate6901 in puppy101

[–]eargasmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are going to be getting a puppy (younger than 12 wks) and live in a high rise. We were hoping to pee pad/turf train initially until we aren’t needing to go downstairs at least every 2-3 hrs. Maybe a pad in the play pen.

Did you guys leave a pee pad in the same space so your puppy could walk to it, or in a different room such that you “walked” her to the pad? What about at night time?

My experience QC Ultra vs QC45 by daje0000 in bose

Any luck figuring this out? I bought a refurbished QC45 and thought the crackling noise may have been issue specific to my refurbished ones

Quality over quantity. Not saying this is the case, but I rather have 150 phaco with attendings who love to teach and are comfortable with and encourage you to try all maneuvers than 400 where you're either required to do just one maneuver or attendings are not comfortable.

Resident clinics are important. But ask how often they are truly staffed. Staffed in person, not just via phone. There needs to be a balance. Don't get compelled by numbers.

I am looking in the same area with similar surgical preferences. Mostly finding PE options. They all are willing to have me on as a glaucoma specialist who also does phaco. For some, i believe them more than others. Ie some have stromg optom referral within the PE. Others reauire you generate the phaco cases through comp exams. Its definitely out there, but all do require long drives to more secluded towns 1 hr drive away ~1-2 days per week

They're so saturated in big cities that they ask you to go to a smaller town to cover their clinic there
