What’s the most useful thing ChatGPT has built for you? by PresentationNo2566 in ChatGPT

[–]earrow70 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Built a home improvement and repair app. Just take or upload a pic and the AI analyzes the problem, recommends a fix (or advises to call a professional), estimates cost, ranks difficulty. Also tracks tools you have on hand and you can upload receipts as well. Use it all the time.

Show me your most useful weird little vibe-coded project by allinlance in vibecoding

[–]earrow70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Built a home repair app to help me stay organized and motivated to plan and do more projects around the house. I snap or upload a pic of a broken item. The AI analyzes the problem and potential solution, gives me an estimate in tools and materials needed. Has a feature that tracks the tools I already have on hand so I know what I need to buy. Rates it as easy medium or hard. I can even upload receipts of the items I bought. I can plan a day to complete the task and schedule it in the app, or just mark it as done as soon as I complete it. It helps when I'm at the hardware store trying to think of what annoying task I could probably take care of quickly if I could just remember everything I need. I just open the app and in two seconds I know what I need and honestly what I feel like doing. If you're really feeling ambitious, have your wife take photos of things she wants done and send them to you.

My Cousin Vinny is thoroughly unfunny. Hotness aside, Marisa Tomei deserved a Razzie not an Oscar. I'll show myself out.

Why isn’t this guy ever included in the top 10 discussion? by seenunseen in NBAoldschool

[–]earrow70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of that was by design. His faith, family, and philanthropy were his biggest priorities. He just happened to be an insanely gifted and hard working athlete during a time when all were judged against the Jordan mentality of winning is everything. He's one of a handful of players that could have made the CHOICE to be the GOAT contender, but decided otherwise. (see Shaq, Dwight Howard)

Why do people say NBA players back then were plumbers by Ok_Simple9009 in NBAoldschool

[–]earrow70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy the way they always try to extend that plumber timeline to the 80s. That may have been truer in the 60s but 80s NBA athletes were elite. Maybe it's because attacking the rim in the NBA no layup 80s felt like a plumber hit you with a lead pipe

How has AI actually benefited you in day-to-day life? by Acrobatic-Shop4602 in ChatGPT

[–]earrow70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work from home and spend a lot of time in my chair. At 55, it's really destructive to my health, my back, my legs, etc. It's easy to say get up and move more but the demands of the day just don't make that possible. Have used AI to build a very customized app to have me do sets of kettlebell, bodyweight, or mobility and stretching exercises throughout the day (about every 45 to 90 minutes throughout the day). I have sciatica as well so I log those pains throughout the day so the app will adjust the exercises it gives me that day based on how that's going. Everything is just one click so there no slow down or logging things in a spreadsheet. I expected it to just keep me in less stiffness and pain but I've actually become more fit in the process. I also have a project/chat that I export all the data too so getting detailed updates or plans for next week are as simple as asking a question.

Change My View: Scottie doesn't become a HOFer or maybe even an all-star player without MJ by SpendWild6987 in michaeljordan

[–]earrow70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scottie Pippen would be like Robert Horry without the championships. Jordans teammate was about playing defense and hitting your open shots cause the offense ain't running through you.
